About Angry Arrows
Angry Arrows is a cooperative archery game about rescuing hostages from enemy strongholds using nothing but bows and arrows.
Angry Arrows will leave you excited, eager for more, and probably a little miffed. Remember, just one fatal mistake and it's back to square one. With a team of up to four players, communication is the key to victory. Use stealth to sneak around enemies and pick them off one at a time. Or rush in, arrows-first, and pray things go according to plan. With such open and dynamic gameplay, the possibilities are endless.
Campaign Mode
Make your way through 25 demanding levels designed to test your skills and accuracy. Be warned, these levels are guaranteed to cause yelling and anger (no pun intended).
Gladiator Mode
Enter the Colosseum and work together to fight off increasingly difficult waves of enemies coming from all directions. When fighting in the Colosseum, players have the option to revive their fallen teammates, if clear from any crossfire. Or, the last remaining player can defeat the rest of the wave alone, if they are brave enough.
Rogue Mode
Rescue a hostage hidden deep in a randomly generated forest. A player can either enter their own level seed or let the game create one. Pausing the game while playing in Rogue Mode will allow players to see the seed. This is useful for any player who wants to write it down and play the same level again in the future. Rogue mode provides players with an infinite number of challenging missions sure to test even the best player's abilities.
Versus Mode (2 player minimum)
Tired of working together? Shoot your friends! Brawl with your friends on the Versus Island, featuring four various modes:
Whenever a player kills an enemy in the game, that enemy will drop gold coins for any player to pick up. Players compete to see who can collect the most coins during a level. Though, at the end of any level, win or lose, all coins from each player will pile together and add to the overall collective stash. Using this stash, players can unlock and purchase a variety of arrows, such as Medusa Arrows.

Despite not having my friend around at the time, I decided to check it out on my own, to see if it'd be the sort of game he'd enjoy. I'll just say that if we want to remain friends, I probably shouldn't make him play it.
Gameplay
There's four game modes available, all of which can be played with four people: Campaign, Gladiator, Rogue, and Arena. Campaign mode is made up of distinct stages, where you have to kill the enemy holding a key in order to rescue a hostage. In Gladiator, you face a set number of waves of enemies, as it's meant to recreate the feel of a champion being staged in a coliseum. The environment makes for a mixed bag, because you're completely walled in, but can make use of the numerous barriers. Honestly, Rogue didn't seem that distinct to me. Unlike the other modes, there's a tim…5 found this helpful
If you are a person that likes to unleash random, unforetold video games upon their unsuspecting friends, this is a must grab. Nock an arrow, shoot it at your friend, roll away from their arrow, repeat at nauseam. Don't waste your time with the rogue mode, but everything else is worth 5 bucks, easy. No frills, only arrows.
I played Angry Arrows with a friend and the versus mode is the only redeeming factor for this game. Worth tinkering around with a friend for 30-60 minutes. The campaign is storyless and frustratingly hard when played solo. However, not in the "Wow, this is hard but fair and rewarding" way. But more in the "why was this designed like this?" way. - It's not fun. A part of what makes the solo playthrough hard is that when you die (one hit deaths) - you have to start the level over. This is not the case with multiplayer. In multiplayer, you simply respawn after a few short seconds. This completely trivializes the game and makes every level a walk-through. I don't know why it is this way. Multiplayer campaign deaths should be the same as solo. Permanent. Give me an advantage for playing with friends, but don't make every level easy as can be. I couldn't even imagine how easy it would be with 4 players. Gladiator mode and rogue modes don't add much to this game either - feels a bit gimmicky. There are so many games to play and I don't see myself spending more time on this one or recommending it to play when online with a friend.
underrated local (aka couch multiplayer) game. Game has modes like: + main campaign: local coop with 2-4 players. (or solo.) Play thru each level starting from level 1 and save the hostages. + local 2-4 players versus. + local 1-4 players arena coop. (where enemies spawn in waves). A couple of small issues / side notes: - Aiming with mouse+keyboard is easier than with a gamepad. Because with gamepad you shoot in the direction (which will be approximate shot if the target is far away.) But with mouse you will simply click on target far away, so no real aiming will be needed as shot will fly in a straight line. Perhaps aiming with gamepad needs some sort of buff? Im just saying that if you will play local versus with 4 players then the person with mouse+keyboard will win more easily. The only option you will have is giving the mouse+keyboard to the most noob player to try to balance it that way. Or just agree that no one uses mouse+keyboard controls. - No cloud saves. main campaign will always be locked from the 1st level if you will decide to play again with friends on another PC. So you might have to backup the saves manually. - Unlocking other arrows gives no real advantage. W…
Such a fun and cute game, I have great fond memories playing this with my roommates. I love the shared screen gameplay with multiple people and the way the zoom pans out so everyone is always perfectly in frame is great!
amazing with a friend and two controllers but controller is very hard much easier on mnk
