About Axes and Arrows
Axes and Arrows is an intense action-combat platformer inspired by the best couch multiplayer games. Axes and Arrows is the fabled guild of mercenaries and monster hunters fabled to be the deadliest warriors across the 6 Kingdoms. As an ominous evil force begins to spread across the land the Axes and Arrows play a pivotal role in restoring peace to where there is chaos. The core mechanics aim to be simple and intuitive, all the while maintaining a fast pace to the action. You're equipped with arrow projectiles, a melee attack, and a dash/dodge maneuver. Each attack can be used offensively or defensively, rewarding the player for quick reflexes and movement with finesse. The game features an expansive campaign that can be played solo or cooperatively, as well as an arena mode which featuring a variety of competitive multiplayer game-types.

looks exactly like towerfall ascension with extremely similar mechanics like the dodging while in air, grabbing on to the sides of walls, arrows shoot very similarly and stick to the walls, and of course the dropping down through the level to be falling from the top (but lots of games have that). the thing that separates this from towerfall is the lack of content and updates. i dont believe this game is being made anymore. straight up i havent seen an update on it for a long time. and at least from the video, towerfall has so much more content. i think someone ripped off someone and this game isnt looking to be made anymore than its current, extremely bugged state.17 found this helpful
An exciting Early Access Title. Axes and Arrows is an Action/Combat Platformer with Single & Multiplayer. The game is setup Same Screen with wrapping similar to Towerfall, there is a Bow, an Axe, and Dash Manuevers. The Axe can be used for deflecting arrows or quick melee attacks, and the dash can be combined with other attacks to create an impressive amount of depth to the combat of this deceptively simple looking indie game. Could certainly be the new go-to Local Co-Op Multiplayer game, excited to see what new levels / game modes / bosses the game will be adding as it developes!8 found this helpful
Really Fun Action Game! Plays and looks a lot like towerfall, but there's more attacks and counters that make it a lot more interesting. Just beat the first boss and I'm really digging this game's style.6 found this helpful
One of the most fun indie games I own. I bought it while it was on sale for $5.99, but it is well worth $10. Don't hesitate about buying this game, even in early access, there's a new update with new stuff and fixes every couple of days, I like how active the developer is. Controller is recommended, but they found a pretty sweet way to do mouse and keyboard without making it feel awkward. I'm really impressed.5 found this helpful
Fun, fast, and simple game mechanics. It plays a lot like Towerfall or Super Crate Box, there's 4 player competetive battles or a Quest mode that can be single player or 2 player co-op. I'm happy to see more competitive local co-op games popping up on Steam, I'm tired of all of the awful RTS/Space Sim garbage that has been coming out of Steam Greenlight. Axes and Arrows is worth a purchase, and it's still in early access so if it keeps updating with new stuff I'll keep playing.3 found this helpful
