About Animus - Stand Alone

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1676740/Animus_Revenant/

■ Game Features
Take on the role of an anonymous warrior — caught out of place and time — on a journey to bring an end to a broken world. Gather your weapons and choose with care: distance, timing, combinations, stamina, and attributes will determine the outcome of battle.

Animus: Stand Alone is an Action RPG comprised of quick stages and compact boss battles. SA is a companion piece to the world and lore of Ire: Blood Memory. You may be new to this fractured world, but foreknowledge of Ire is nonessential. We hope that all fans of ARPGs can find enjoyment in this game.

■ Developer Notes
We would like to thank the fans and players of Ire: Blood Memory, Animus: Stand Alone, Animus: Harbinger, and ARPGs for supporting and encouraging us to make this happen. This version was a tough decision and challenge to take on. The main differences applied here are:

✦ AI summary

Players praise the fluid gameplay, satisfying loot system, and stylish character design, with comparisons to an accessible Dark Souls-like experience that encourages grinding. However, significant technical issues plague the experience, including severe controller input delay, game crashes with save data loss, and keyboard/mouse problems that make the game difficult or unplayable for many players.

Remember IRE:Blood Memory? Well it's that but single player. This game is obviously missing some aspects of its defunct online counterpart, (gems to upgrade, a more complex gate system and so on) things that could have given more emphasis to character creation, which IRE had. The view is also different, in third person in this game, while in IRE and Animus Revenant it was more isometric. In summary, a more immediate and simpler game from a mechanical and farming point of view. The gameplay is pleasant and fluid, and there is no shortage of situations in which you will be focused on surviving. Personally I love the style of the characters, armor and narration. If you remember IRE, you lack the settings, the characters, they are largely present here, in a good compromise from a single player perspective

Bought this game on Switch and again on PC. Think of this as Dark Souls Lite. Not as frustrating and not as intense as Dark souls. Really good game, the loot system is well done and makes me want to grind. I give this game a 10/10 for what it is!!
