Another example of ruined fun game by "lets make it difficult, so it will take longer to beat" The way they did it: - slow controlls, so you cant reach every rocket - low damage, even if fully upgraded, so you cant kill every rocket you can reach - random drops means: sometimes 3-4 bombs in the face, so you die instantly, sometimes no buffs for a long time, so you die slowly It was fun as long as i tought the (otherwise limited) upgrades will help to push forward, and it dose, a little, but practice wont help if you just got smashed at the start with bombs 5 times in a row... conclusion: with little balance, it could be a fun little game but in this state it feels like a weekend project with earning some money with as little effort as possible as a main goal.2 found this helpful
Very little gameplay, limited upgrade tree. Whole game can be completed in about 30 minutes
poor performance for a simple game
This is a simple space-invaders-like game that seems like it'd be a lot more fun as a mobile game rather than on pc. It keeps crashing on me so Bear that in mind. The controls and mechanics are simple and straightforward. It is an okay game for some entertainment but that's it. Get this if there is nothing else that interests you or if it's part of a bundle like how I got it. I'm not sure if it is even worth the $2 price but if you want it go for it. I only recommend this game because it's playable and helps to waste time but that's it.
Can have everything unlocked in a half hour. Not sure why triple laser ability needs all the other abilities in the tree unlocked before you can buy it, as it shows as available if you have the money and there's nothing that explicitly says it's locked. Other than that though, gameplay works great, rockets fly at probably just the right speed to get into a flow state with it. Collectables are a joke and the only thing adding any length to the game. There's no strategy to the game as there aren't power ups outside what you can buy. Biggest gripe is that there's nothing signifying which rockets have bombs in them. That would add some strategy in avoiding those as shooting them takes your health down further than just letting the rocket hit. There are better games for the same price if not cheaper to spend your money on.
Way more fun than I expected going in. Reminds me of the kinds of shareware games I used to find back in the early days of AOL. Would love to have a mobile version of this. Only issue: the memes and copywritten items are sketchy. Nyan-Cat is in this and I know the creator of that meme took WB to court for using the same character in Scribblenauts. Atomic Breath might want to watch out just in case.
