It’s okay, but there are much better games like it. This one feels especially like a mobile game because lots of things take real-world time to happen - leagues, expeditions, feeding fish, and probably more that I’m forgetting - and there are two different currencies for no real reason. My main problem, though, is just that it’s buggy. Workers that were supposed to catch fish for me got stuck in the water almost immediately every time I loaded the game, either running in place against the dock or jiggling back and forth in the middle of the water stuck on nothing at all (I kept thinking they were turtles and trying to catch them). I also had a bug where I couldn’t claim rewards for the bonus tasks I completed which meant I couldn’t unlock the fish that came along with doing a certain number of them. Neither of these bugs affected the main gameplay that much, but they drew things out long enough that finishing the final aquarium and winning one of the leagues felt like quite the slog. If you’re really attached to the aquarium part, you’ll have a good enough time, but you’d probably have more fun with something like Dig Deep.

Aquarium Land is pretty much just a phone game redone on computer, but fixed so that there is no wait for 'in-app purchase' type of content. I enjoyed playing this while watching or listening to other stuff. The gameplay is simple but rewarding, and I found the sealife to be quite cute. A good buy if looking for something simple and satisfying to play. Now to the real reason we're here... the achievements. Now I found an exploit to get the badges needed to win the Beauty Cup by buying a bunch of new decor and just spam clicking on it. It's a bit difficult but worth the effort rather than buying the fish for the tank and such to get the badges normally. Overall the achievements were easy to complete (is mainly just completing everything in the game). One big issue about the game, the DLC did not work for me. I don't know if I needed to own all DLC, but I got the parrot pet DLC and couldn't use it. Very sad as I wanted a little parrot companion, but hopefully might get fixed in the future :)

My 5 year old and 6 year old love playing this co-op with me. Repetitive and easy, but fun for kids.
