About Argol - Kronoss' Castle
Argol - Kronoss' Castle is a platformer action game largely inspired by 90s hits. Between gothic universe and mythological legends, it is decorated as it deserves with a rich and epic soundtrack to make you live an adventure in the purest arcade style. Story : Help Argol across his journey in the hostile lands of Rul until the gates of the Castle of Time in order to meet Kronoss, the sinister magician. Only him has the power to save his beloved her terrible disease.
To achieve this, you will have to explore dark forests infested with monstrous creatures, and dungeons full of diabolical traps. No one other than you is capable of such a feat, and you can only rely on your courage and cleverness.

Argol is for the most part an old school Castlevania. There are only less linear levels, more focus on collectibles and the difficulty is optional due to the forgiving lives system (on normal at least). The game has 6 acts, each act usually contains 2-3 levels followed by a boss fight. The game has a confusing save system. It seems to save the levels you’ve completed after a boss fight but the strength of your weapon, the equipped secondary weapon and the amount of lives reset when you quit the game. It doesn’t matter too much because you can continue the moment you lose all your lives, the punishment is starting the act from the beginning or just before a boss fight. The game can be pretty tough when there are multiple enemies attacking you, the boss fights usually only need some time to figure out one or two patterns. There are also 3 flying sections with a Pegasus and there is a second ending. Luckily you don’t need to play from the beginning, there is a level select to continue from any level. That page is also handy at showing you the two missed collectibles: hearts to increase your health and prisoners rescued. The third collectible (OST) can be seen in the options menu. This game is fantastic. It gets a little confusing as you progress, since the levels get less linear, so you have to backtrack a lot to get everything, but overall, the experience is really good.1 found this helpful
I'm gonna recommend this one for retro platformer / arcade fans, but with a BIG caveat. This game is JANK. Very much so. I'm not just talking about clunky controls or retro mechanics, I'm talking about basic things not working such as attack animations, hitboxes not disappearing when an enemy is defeated, or hitboxes spawning too early before an attack sprite has even appeared. Weird momentum changes occurring when you get hit while dashing, and the strangeness of how dashing even works. There's a lot of oddness to this game. I haven't finished it because I spent an hour in one of the later stages looking for a key that doesn't exist so I couldn't progress, had to start the whole stage over again because if you use one of the 3 keys to open the secret door (which I didn't even know I was using the key since they just disappear from your inventory when you approach certain walls or obstacles) the secret room doesn't contain an extra key so you get SOFT LOCKED. The fact that the stage is so damn long with 2 awful horseback riding sections and a mini-boss only to throw this soft lock at you at the end of the stage is ridiculous. Oh maybe I should elaborate on the janky dashing. It…

Good platformer with greek mythology heroes. Nice graphic medium difficult (on hard difficult too) ...and great music!
Damnot I hate when .com switches to the app. Annoying when trym to multi task steam via phone Other than that the walk speed sucks just as bad. Very few 'upgrade' items to not have any menu besides CONTINUE & QUIT it is just indie enough for someone to play it longer than 30min sittings. Level based castlevania style Can you find the error??
