Arkanoid is an iconic arcade game, developed by TAITO Corporation in 1986. When the mother ship ARKANOID comes under attack, the small spacecraft VAUS manages to escape but ends up warped into another dimension. Wandering in an inter-dimensional labyrinth, VAUS must destroy blocks called ""spacewalls"" in order to defeat ""DOH"", the creator of the maze responsible for ARKANOID’s destruction.

Very disappointed. The mainline attraction is dead because it relies on people playing online, the offline mode is way too hard too quickly as the ball speed gets stupid fast, the original game is confined with an ugly arcade border that looks terrible, achievements suck, the music feels quickly slapped together, ugh. All we needed was the pacman championship edition treatment but instead we got...this.7 found this helpful
Haven't played Arkanoid for a long time so I got curious about this one (got it on sale). So far nothing's changed from the original gameplay. Various modes (including classic Arkanoid) to keep the replay value going, but the crown jewel is the Eternal battle where you can battle with 25 other players. Then you fight against Doh (funny name for a final boss, why does it remind me of the Simpsons?) No worries if there's no one to play with you, there's good old AI to play with you. Recommended for old and new players alike.
There's a classic so that's enough :) But other modes although a bit too flashy are interesting, too.
it'ssssss ok. the battle royale mode, the main attraction, is honestly the weakest part. matches drag on FOREVERRRRR and games conclude with a boss battle that you HAVE TO WIN or you just automatically lose the match, even if you're the only player still alive. but there's two single player modes with about 70 levels, a local versus mode that honestly works way better than the battle royale, and a decent bit of unlockables. it's kinda hard to hate when you can easily get it for a dollar and it provides enough value for that price
Sure the multiplayer is dead but the game itself is fun, very similar to a game called Blasterball 2 which I like which means I also like this game! If you're looking for a good brick breaking game like BlasterBall 2, this is a good option!
The only way to play this game is on the Neo game mode.
