Where did the last 2 hours go?! This game SLAPS Enable Dpad as joystick and this game is a dream on steamdeck.

i am having fun. first 5 minutes of a run starts slow, not much challange. but after it becomes chaos as blocks start coming fast. game becomes almost like a survivors style game with lots of xp and coins dropping while multiple balls wrecking havoc there is plently of unlockables and game modes. if you like arcade games you probably will like this. my tips to dev: - tighthen up the first 5 mins. most people wont have the patience to keep playing during the slow parts - some more stage changing random events overall, i will keep this installed. i can see myself playing a run when i feel like it

It's Breakout/Arkanoid with more powerups, bats, balls and even some boos fights - the controls feel silky smooth and definitely feels like your own fault if you miss. There are some very minor bugs in the game atm - the menu navigation can get a little mixed up and go to the wrong buttons on screen (I think I know why that is though, so I reckon that won't take long to iron out) but overall plays pretty nicely., It looks like the dev is continually adding to the game which is great, my biggest hope (and it's kind of a small hope): Ability to create spin shots off the bat - yeah you can get powerups for the ball to curve, but to "flick" the bat at the right time to make it curve? Simple pleasures. :D

Takes me back to a simpler time. Maybe the most accessible roguelite ever. Who hasn't played a brick breaker before? Lots of variety, deceptively simple, and incredibly addicting. Highly recommended.

Most upgrades hurt you... Multiball? You have to catch the "right" ball. Ball Magnet? It sucks the ball past your ship. Projectile Spread? Missiles never hit. Furthermore, games last WAY too long. Every game feels the same after the first. Yuck!

If you've ever felt nostalgic for brick games, this is the best modern equivalent, though it's still buggy as hell on my system. When it's working, it looks good, it feels good, it sounds good. Unfortunately, there's a basic problem where money and xp stops falling by about the 5th level in every single run for me, meaning you stop getting any good stuff until they're pushed to the bottom of the screen suddenly like one of those arcade coin sliding machines. It also has issues like suddenly having powerups not exist (I had over 700 ball catchers saved up, and they just stopped showing on the screen, meaning the ball fell off the bottom when I missed it and lives were lost). If the bugs don't show up on your system, this will be one of the best timesink in years. But for now (at least for my computer), the bugs are too consistent and too fundamental to be worth buying it.
