As someone who has played A LOT. of online CCGs and TCGs alike, I cannot fully recommend this game. Yes, the game uses AI art. This is common now because small studios will attempt to make live service games like this and don't have time to create unique art. Although the art isn't terrible, there's something just uninspiring about it. This game takes direct elements from MTG and wears it on it's sleeve, especially its commander mechanic lol. (is a hero power button, but its a counter system like magic for the cards abilities, and its a unit-esque portrait when you hover said button.) There's an oddly annoying mechanic, where you have to place your unit in the backrow, wait a turn, then move it forward, then, hold on...... move it forward again to attack the enemy face. One round of S.S. is enough. I understand the need to make a new way of playing, but i'm not sure this is it. You also have to decide every turn, whether you want to draw or gain mana. The U.I. is super rudimentary, with most things in the interface just being thin bordered squares. The art looks super generic and inconsistent. The UI is unpolished, in places unfinished-looking, and if you aren't well-versed in digital CCGs you might have trouble with the UI since it doesn't explain things well. The tutorials I played were rough: they explained some things but left out many details that I had to try and fit together on my own.

I really enjoyed this game. I have to play it for a bit longer, but I can already see the cards are well thought out and plays well. It also has some new mechanics that I have not seen before that I really like. I think its very well done for an indie company such as this.

I don't recommend Artovya because the game developer has apparently abandoned the game. I can't register an account. The community hub is dead or cleared. No post in the discussion (forum). No update.

I was really enjoying the game, then started getting SSL CA Certificate error message when I tried to log in. Now I can't play.
