Players describe Assassin of Demon as a straightforward Serious Sam-inspired shooter with simple level-based gameplay and quick completion times, but criticize it heavily for poor execution including low-quality AI assets, unbalanced audio, generic environments, and questionable UI design choices like ESC returning to menu instead of pausing. While some appreciate the straightforward demon-hunting loop and find the bosses manageable, most feel the game suffers from rushed development and lacks the polish needed to stand out in the genre, with one reviewer suggesting significant rework would be
a Serious Sam clone by Saylor. with weapon similiar to XM214-A minigun at least 666 bullets as minium and bang bang until that big red demon (boss) die in every level, and you are done. circa 15-20minutes to master it.11 found this helpful
More shovelware slop from "Saylor Games", the latest alias of Tero Lunkka. You start off at an off-centered main menu with the text "main menu" at the top. There is a low-quality, AI generated, stretched background. As for the actual gameplay... it's abysmal. For whatever reason you have 10,000 health... perhaps it's to compensate for the generic, tanky, braindead AI. The environment is similarly poor - overexposed lighting and tons of random Unreal Engine assets scattered about. Oh and the audio is horribly unbalanced. I stopped playing after about three minutes, when I pressed ESC to try to pause the game and it instead went back to the main menu.6 found this helpful

Short FPS. Most enemies you can avoid by running. Most Bosses are decently easyish to kill. Easyish Achievements, 100% / ~40min.4 found this helpful
I think there is a lot of potential if you go back and spend a bit more time on this game: https://youtu.be/Mf2WdLtXgms2 found this helpful
Assassin of Demon is a straightforward, combat-driven indie shooter that places nearly all of its focus on relentless demon hunting and weapon-based progression. Developed and published by Saylor Games, the title embraces a no-frills design philosophy rooted in classic first-person shooter traditions, prioritizing constant action over narrative depth or mechanical complexity. From the outset, the game makes its intentions clear: this is a linear, mission-focused experience built around clearing levels, defeating demonic enemies, and pushing steadily toward a final confrontation. The premise is simple and functional. Players take on the role of a lone warrior tasked with eliminating a powerful demon and its forces while recovering stolen magical skulls scattered across hostile environments. Storytelling is minimal and largely conveyed through objectives rather than cutscenes or dialogue, serving mainly to contextualize the ongoing combat. This stripped-down approach keeps momentum high and ensures that players are rarely pulled away from the core loop of exploration, firefights, and boss encounters. Gameplay centers on classic FPS mechanics with an emphasis on weapon variety and e…1 found this helpful
