About Asylamba: Influence
Asylamba Influence is the new game from RTFM Corp. This game combines aspects of a puzzle-game with a nervous real-time strategy game. It will immerse you in a galaxy shared between several prestigious civilizations on a futuristic and refined interface.
In Influence, you will lead a civilization and be responsible for its expansion into the galaxy. But there is no point in resorting to violence because the best weapon is the influence of your culture.
Extend your power by recruiting the most famed men and women of your civilization and send them on missions across the galaxy. Your artists will transcend the beauty of your civilization. Impose your religion: send your priests to spread the one true faith, yours. Your scholars will be an ideal tool to show the rest of the world the knowledge your people hold. Once your traders are on location, buy everything, planet after planet.
Keep conquered systems under control by building grand buildings that reflect your civilization. The Citadel of the Arts, the Manufacture, the Astroport or the Monolith will be welcome havens for your emissaries. Building the Crypt will protect you from outside influences. The Embassy will bring you prestige. And finally, why not dare to build a Dome to defend your faith or a Holotheque to preserve your knowledge.
Accumulate prestige and give your empire the opportunity to accomplish great things. Plan the assassination of an opposing emissary, raise funds to support your expansion or trigger a coup to turn the situation around.
Your accomplishments will happen progressively over the course of various planned missions. Many enemies will get in your way and you will have to use various strategies to get out of tricky situations. Sector after sector, take control of the galaxy.
After earning your stripes as a general of the great Imperial Order, play other characters and factions. Step into the shoes of a great dignitary of the Church of Cardan seeking to emancipate himself from the imperial yoke. Use your technological know-how within the very erudite Province of Aphera. As you wander, you will face the Kovahkarh Swarm, the rich Seldarin League, the Neo Humanist dissidents or the fanatics of the Magotic Cult.

At the lower difficulty levels, Asylamba: Influence just isn't very compelling or rewarding. At the higher difficulty levels, it simply isn't skill-based. It needs re-balancing to be a well-built game whose design fulfills its aims. Sadly, there appears to be no one reading the Forums and no other method for providing feedback to the Devs.3 found this helpful
This game is almost unparseably sterile, and I admire it as a minimalistic construct in worldbuilding. It is playing its setting to the abstract limit. The developers code-golfed their worldbuilding. If there was less worldbuilding, it would not have any, and at such a small gap the game might still be unrecognizable for the loss of it. Having thus remarked upon an achievement in story construction, I wish I could say the same about the game's sense of narrative. It is still kept minimal, but I think it might be too minimal. I am not sure it is a qualifying construct in narrative, because I am not sure that stories can be made for this flow of gameplay. Still, this might be an interesting rather than disappointing uncertainty. Can you imagine stories for a flow of ambassadors and symbolic central structures, in a story of the vaguest description between competing planets?1 found this helpful
Doesn't work and abandoned.
I have the game for a long time, forget about it and come back. it's easy, it's quick you can play 1 game of 5 min and quit again or play level after level. I play it during work breaks and it's a good challenge with feeling of satisfaction once you beat a hard level. recommended for the low price. (1 euro per hour = easy!)
“Really unique mix of abstract realtime strategy and a puzzle game.”
I like this game but the framerate is horrible. This is running in a GTX 1060 with an i5 3570 and there's noticeable lag in the second campaign. I've updated my CPU to something more modern (AMD R5 3600) but take note!
