Beneath the shell of kawaii chibi art lies a very, very familiar combat system to those of us who've paid a visit to Hollownest, with a map system familiar to those of us who've traveled Faster Than Light! It's a simple, short, sweet, surprisingly satisfying cycle of combat, planning moves, and bossfights that will test your reactions and awareness, both auditory and visual! I beat the game on Expert over the course of 55 minutes worth of attempts, but I'm definitely playing more some time! It just feels that good to play. If you're familiar with Hollow Knight combat, you'll enjoy yourself, just like I did! Also, for those of ya'll who are having issues with the zone 4 midboss, just watch out for when she charges up that horizontal gun and deflect those sword slashes and you'll be fiiiiiiiiine. Fun game. Very satisfyin'! If there's ever a sequel, I'd 8000% go for it. Also, I'm pretty sure that this game uses the same player-hurt noise as Hollow Knight, but that could just be me. EDIT: After approximately 29 more minutes, I beat all of the bosses (in the upgradeless boss battle fights) for the achievements and also did a runthrough of the game in under 7 minutes for that achievem…

Please think carefully before you buy this game! The Good Point The action is fun. The movement can be combined in any form, basically free-form. You can dash attack, walk while attacking, jump into a dash attack. Every move connects and responds no matter what you press. Enemy attacks, you dodge, then you attack back. It’s as simple as that, but it’s fun. The Bad Point The movement of Attacker Chan is very, very slow. While enemies move very fast, we move very slow, which makes it hard to dodge while running. Of course, you can dash, right? But here’s the catch. The dash doesn’t have i-frames, so if you dash and end up hitting something, you just hurt yourself badly. The dash is also really short, and the enemies are really big. You can’t dash through them, which becomes a big problem. When enemies crowd around you, you can’t dash the way you want, because you might end up hitting them and getting hurt. Sometimes it’s better to just run instead, but since running is slow, dodging becomes hard. Also, when enemies are far away, there’s no clear sign that an attack is coming. There’s not even a red arrow or anything. I would like a small attack cue, like the enemy’s eyes flashi…

ATTACKER-CHAN WIFE! -Simple, short, and cute! -You can beat normal difficulty in less than an hour. -Controlling Attacker-chan takes some time getting used to, jumps and dashes feel unbalanced somehow, but you'll get comfy with it soon. -Love the animations on the game, Attacker-chan is so adorable! -Bosses feel unfair since you need a level of reaction time and good eye, most of the time they're unpredictable and Attacker-chan has extremely slow mobility. Did not expect to jump from one boss to the other so quickly. -Overall the game is quite fun, you might stress like what 10% perhaps with Attacker-chan's mechanics because it's hard to dodge and counter everything to perfection. You will die a lot like me maybe, but seems there's no actual GAME OVER and you get infinite tries, at least that's what I've experienced on normal mode. The game doesn't have much content but enough to keep you entertained, it's very well polished and it could have been more explosive if it was longer. It delivers what it intends to, but you will possibly end up empty like me wishing it lasted longer. Looking forward to buying Gunner-chan soon as well, and hoping to see more projects from Kido!

A fun skill based 2D rogue-lite that is short but packed full of content. It's a shame that more is not done with this very enjoyable combat system. But the enemy and boss varieties in the game is more than enough for a fun session or two. It is a good game and worth it for its very cheap price.

Fun, simple, and engaging. It has enough content for replay value. It's also nice to see some of these characters appear in Gunner-chan.

The game length is very short, but the painting style is very cute, worth buying
