Surprisingly fun and well-designed game in the Vampire Survivors genre. The weapon upgrade system, skill tree, and relic mechanics are very well executed. I also really liked the soul mechanic instead of classic leveling, you collect souls and use them to unlock skills, which adds a refreshing twist to progression. For its price, it's an absolute gem. It’s fun, fast-paced, and keeps you engaged. There are a couple of minor issues: • When aiming, the screen slightly shakes, which can be distracting. • Occasionally, the health and soul indicators disappear from the UI. Other than that, it’s a great indie title. I highly recommend giving it a try!

Kill The Cute is a small top down action game that takes a pretty simple idea and gives it a silly twist. I am basically playing the villain, fighting hordes of cute little creatures that are supposedly trying to get close enough to cuddle me. The joke is obvious, but I think it works because the game fully commits to the idea of slaughtering things that look completely harmless. The actual gameplay is built around short roguelite runs, so I can jump in, fight for a bit, die, upgrade and then try again. The rounds are only around 30 to 90 seconds, which makes it very easy to play in short bursts. The combat is where most of the fun comes from for me. I am constantly moving around while dealing with groups of enemies, collecting souls and trying to build a character that can survive the increasing chaos. There are 24 characters to unlock, and each one has their own weapon, stats and special abilities. That gives me a decent reason to experiment instead of sticking with the same setup every time.
