What’s new about Mono mode in Audiosurf 2?
In Audiosurf 2 your timing in mono mode is more important than ever. You’ve got to strategize to get your grid full at the most intense moments of songs to get the most points. Look ahead in the distance for corkscrew loops with powerups to know when these moments will occur.
What do I get in the demo?
The demo allows players to play any song they want, for their first 3 songs. After that, they can play the Song of the Day, everyday, as many times as they want.
Is there a mode that focuses on dodging blocks?
Yes, there's a new Ninja mode. It has a big bonus for hitting no spikes and creates intense spike fields to weave through. It’s faster than regular Mono and the second-to-second challenge of avoiding spikes is harder. For even more challenge there’s ninja turbo. It’s too fast for you.
What’s new about the Puzzle modes in Audiosurf 2:
Just as with Mono mode, your timing on Puzzle modes is now more important than ever. Push, Shuffle, Erase, or Scoop blocks at the just the right moments to take full advantage of multiplier powerups that come at the most intense moments of songs.
Can players make their own mods and skins to share on Steam Workshop?

Audiosurf 2 offers addictive rhythm-based gameplay where players can import their own music, with many praising how easy it is to spend hours locked in despite the dated interface. The main complaints center on the removal of native YouTube integration (now requiring workarounds like the YouTube mod or MP3 files), occasional level design issues where safe lanes are missing, and limited audio format support. Players seem to find it worthwhile as a casual music-synced game, particularly if you're willing to set up the YouTube mod or convert files yourself.
Without the YouTube mod, then I would definitely recommend Audiosurf 1 over the sequel, but with the YouTube mod installed (with is relatively simple to do), then man, it's really worth it! What makes the previous entry feel better is the gameplay; unless it's been patched, the last time I played AS 2, there were some courses that didn't have safe lane, meaning that I needed to ruin my combo/flow. Maybe that was just me a issue, but even with that (minor-ish) flaw, the sequel is still a fun time (especially with hat mod installed).3 found this helpful
This game was the goat of play any song you like but its just kinda jank and whatever now. At one point they had youtube integration and that was removed so it has this archaic system to use .mp3 files. It just kinda never went nowhere sadly.2 found this helpful

i wish there was a in between rating, im not a huge fan but at the same time its ALRIGHT. i guess
For such a simple game it is sooo easy to spend hours locked in listening to music. The interface is a little old fashioned but thanks to youtube and free mp3 converters you can play any (yes ANY) audio you want with very little effort. Addictive to say the least.
