Axan Ships - Low Poly

Pretty solid base of a game here, unfortunately the poor english and unintuitive UI make it pretty hard to know what's going on. At all. Looks like a solid demo of a game, but probably needed more polish. For free, it's fun to mess around for a half hour or so pew pewing, but it really lacks the polish to make it really "playable."

"Axan Ships - Low Poly" is not a game. It's an advertisement for a product called "Axan Ships". Axan Ships is a rather poorly made top down 2.5D space RTS that seems quite directionless and pointless (and, indeed, was a massive failure). In fact the developer specifically states that Axan Ships wasn't made with gamers in mind, which raises the question about why it exists. But this isn't completely relevant because this is not Axan Ships, it's just an advertisment for it, so it's not correct to try to review that completely distinct product. We must instead review this for what it is... an advertisement. If you enjoy advertisements, you can consume them for free on the web or on Youtube without needing to add them to your game library, download them, and then launch the advertising. It's impossible in a general sense to recommend people should do that over playing real, full games on Steam, and that applies here with "Axan Ships - Low Poly" too. The purpose of this advertisement is to get you to shell out a whopping $11 USD on buying Axan Ships, and I don't recommend you do that either. Игра 'Axan Ships - Low Poly' - приятный космический шутер с очаровательной low-poly графикой. Геймплей прост, но увлекателен: управляешь небольшим кораблем, уничтожаешь волны врагов и собираешь ресурсы для улучшения судна. Разнообразие врагов и их тактик держит в напряжении, хотя со временем однообразие начинает чувствоваться. Система улучшений, хоть и не самая глубокая, позволяет ощутимо прокачать корабль и настроить его под свой стиль игры. Визуальный стиль, с яркими цветами и угловатыми моделями, создает неповторимую атмосферу. Музыкальное сопровождение ненавязчивое и хорошо подходит к происходящему на экране. Игра идеально подходит для коротких сессий, когда хочется быстро отвлечься и пострелять в космосе. Она расслабляет и не требует глубокого погружения. К минусам можно отнести некоторую затянутость геймплея на поздних этапах и отсутствие полноценного сюжета. В целом, 'Axan Ships - Low Poly' - хорошая инди-игра, которая может понравиться любителям аркадных шутеров и поклонникам low-poly графики. Рекомендую попробовать, особенно если ищете что-то простое и увлекательное.

This game doesn't have an actual campaign it has an instance that is titled "campaign" but its not actually story campaign. Having 3 ships attack one civilian ship and that ship not blow up means something is wrong with the game. I can't recommend at this time because the dev is focused on the money not this F2P version of the game. OVERALL: 5/10
