I bought this on suggestion that it'd have somewhat of a similar energy to Goemon, and while it does, the gameplay doesn't feel as fun as it has with N64 Mystical Ninja. Not a bad grab at deep sale and there's A LOT to go through, but at least for me it started to feel repetitive around 3 hour mark so I got bored.2 found this helpful
Genuinely speaking, i did NOT expect this game to be THIS good. I came in expecting an ok platformer, and left with a fun as heck combat 3d platformer that reminds me of mario 3d world and dk bananza. The soundtrack SLAPS, and all the locations are unique and pretty to look at. If you were thinking of playing this game, PLEASE get it. Insanely underrated2 found this helpful

I got this game because the studio behind it is the same one behind Mystical Ninja and I wanted to support their work. The first few minutes into the game kind of made me regret I got it but I powered through the first 6 levels (which were incredibly easy and almost braindead) and I'd say that's around the time the game starts growing on you. The resemblance between Goemon and Bakeru is uncany and the similarities pour into the game itself. I think I must be a little under half-way through but there's plenty of collectables in order to 100% this game. I don't think we will ever get a Goemon game for Steam in the western world (even though there is a release for Steam in Japan) but I think this game scratches that same itch.
Great Platformer: Its very much like the good old platformers we where playing back in the early 2000s bright and collorfull fun yet challenging fun things to spice the game up like a karting level and a shoot em up level and maby even more i have spend around 7 hours in game and not seen everything but i can say for sure its worth the 16 or so dollar that it is now in discount full price its a maby it depents on how much you like platformers and looking for a new one anyway i bought it during an sale and i for certain do recomend this game it is a lot of fun!
Wish I had bought this game sooner! It is a very polished title with fun, responsive combat. If you like performing precise parries and dodges (similar to Onimusha), you may just enjoy it as much as I have. The difficulty seems perfectly fair. I lost a few lives on the early levels, but the balance is spot on. It also completely scratches the itch for a new Goemon game. More sequels, please!
