this is the perfect video game

this remains one of my favorite games and one of the most evocative and curious pieces of media i've ever seen. the characters, small interactions and highly specific locations and scenarios deeply resonate with me and i really hope to find more games like this. there isn't anything like this

Interesting short game. Pretty clear goals and ways to achieve them, in a strange icy resort. Most of the artwork was just black on my Bazzite desktop when playing via Steam - Heroic launcher w/ Itch version was much better. I didn't look at trailers and such (prefer no spoilers), so it took me a while to realise. Don't do that!

it's cute, and neat to fly around and figure out the spa

"Beautycopter" is a garbage surreal "more art than game" experience where you fly a little helicopter around a "spa resort" that's very cold, collecting hats and cake... I appreciate sometimes artists need to be artists but they should present their garbage in at least a partially professional way. This just lookes like someone had a stroke while browsing an asset store. So, it's hard to describe this as a game, the focus of the product is more like that of a mildly interactive "art" experience, there's only minor, shallow and uninteresting gameplay elements. The crux of this is to push a mediocre "experience" at gamers of the kind you would normally see in a public art gallery on amateur week. It's true that games can be art, of course... art is where the pinnacle of creativity, craftsmanship and expertise come together to form something greater than the sum of its parts. This product does a poor job of all of those three. The Mona Lisa would not be hanging in the Louvre if she was drawn as a stick figure in crayon on a napkin.
