Avoid if you want to play at more than 60 fps. The game is really cool but is plagued by a very bad constant stutter that occurs when you move forward and your refresh rate is high (mine is 165 hz). There is a fix someone posted where you use special K to turn on some unity engine physics work around. Said fix works for about 3-4 hours but at a particular fire fight it causes a bug where it gets really laggy and bullets stop doing damage to you and enemies. The fix also causes weird physics issues where you fall very slow and grenades dont go as far but it is still very playable (until 3-4 hours have passed). Very sad since the game is so cool, but I will be unable to finish it. I could play it at 60 fps but that has become jarringly slow for me nowadays (yes first world problems).1 found this helpful
Very good ambiance, visuals and controls. But the music is far too loud (and cannot be controlled separately from the SFX audio), which just murders the mood. Between that and the quite bad voice acting, I reluctantly do not recommend. It's got a lot of good points, but these issues just kneecap it.
Solid survival FPS with scarce ammo, thick atmosphere and grotesque creatures. The story pulls you along as you fight to save your daughter, and the old-school gunplay keeps it intense. A bit janky in spots and the AI is hit-or-miss, but it's atmospheric and satisfying overall. Worth diving into if you like challenging horror shooters.
The atmosphere is easly the best part. Dark corridors, weird noises and disturbing things all around to keep the tension up most of the time. The shooting feels solid and enemies are smart enough to flank you, although sometimes the combat can get a bit repetitive. The story starts simple but becomes increasingly strange, with random sanity effects and some nice creepy moments. There are also slower sections that drag a little, but nothing too serious. It's not perfect and it doesn't really reinvent anything, but it's a solid action horror game with a lot of atmosphere.
My performance review was scheduled for 4 PM and I was sure I was getting fired. Played this game during lunch to calm my nerves. Came back so focused and confident that I not only kept my job but got “Employee of the Month”. The boss said I looked like a different person. Thank you, game. You’re now part of my morning routine.
