Berserker

This is a short(ish) but fun game with a serious story. The gameplay is engaging and rich controls give you lots of possibilities, so you're not the one that needs to adapt to the controls, but rather the rich controls are here to cover your play style whatever it may be. The overall atmosphere, world design and graphics are of high quality, and lots of attention to detail that went into all of it is evident. The game prides itself in the accuracy of the old Norse mythology/symbolism (there are even Wikipedia excerpts in the puzzles' help screens). While some elements might be rough around the edges here and there (such as muddy audio of the main character, UI elements offset on some monitor resolutions etc.), considering this was made by one person in their spare time as a labor of love, any such minor quirks are ultimately insignificant.

Beware, this is hardly a complete game, more like an hour-long proof of concept with very limited gameplay. The graphics are fine, everything else feels clunky and unfinished.

Awesome game with interesting puzzles, great graphics, combat is not bad, even has voice overs and a nice tutorial. Great value for money!

Surprisingly fun and very short action game with basic combat and some fine graphics. Despite the fact that the game only supports keyboard and mouse prompts, a gamepad can be used for basic functions. Unfortunately, some of the more advanced commands are not available, and you have to learn the button layout because there are no other options in the settings. The gameplay consists of a simple hack-and-slash mechanics. You can attack, defend yourself with a shield, and use a couple of special attacks. When an enemy is nearly dead, you can carry out an execution that replenishes the rage bar. Once triggered, you gain four new powerful special attacks. Blocking and special attacks require stamina. However, it recharges quickly, so this is hardly an issue. You can block practically anything as long as you have stamina. Because the combat isn't extremely deep, it's easy to abuse the mechanics. Simply keep the shield up and attack when an enemy gets blocked. This will also allow your health to replenish. You take control of two characters in two stages. Awesome story catches your attention and very quickly you get to that point where you "must know what is next". Graphics and effects are really nice especially in combination with nice range of different attack moves. Before you jump into game pay attention when playing tutorial, for some people lot of keyboard/game options may be too much. I'm looking forward to see next episode of this game and how story will go on! Thumbs up for this project <3

Beside of interesting and challenging side scroller, this game is a pure showcase of enthusiasm, hard work and effort. Well done One Life Games!
