About Viking: Battle for Asgard
Lead the warrior Skarin across a vast Viking world to stop the goddess Hel from unleashing Ragnarok and destroying Asgard in this brutal action epic. Command dragons, master devastating melee combat, and rally hundreds of dynamic warriors to your cause as you battle through Norse mythology brought to stunning life.
The goddess Hel – daughter of Loki, Norse God of mischief, has been banished from the heavenly kingdom of Asgard for defying Odin’s rule. Angry at her fate, she seeks to release the ancient wolf-god Fenrir which legend tells will bring about Ragnarok - the apocalyptic battle that will destroy Asgard and the Gods. With her army of resurrected Viking warriors, Hel marches on the unsuspecting mortal realm of Midgard.
Odin’s daughter Freya, goddess of love and wisdom, is appointed the task of stopping Hel and defending the future of mankind. For her champion she chooses Skarin, a great but troubled young warrior, ignorant of the true reason for his favour with the Gods and thrust into the midst of their bitter war.
As Skarin, players will experience unparalleled battle scenes, leading the charge in a titanic clash between powerful gods and mere men. War on an unprecedented scale will rage across a beautifully realised Viking landscape.

I loved this game when it first released and I'm thankful I get to relive those fun memories as a tank of a Viking! I can hack and slash for hours and each swing feels rewarding.
This is not an incredible game. But I LOVE it anyway. If doing the same thing over and over again doesn't sound so bad and you appreciate sneaking around, blood, and Vikings, this game is for you. I got great memories of playing this game years and years ago on PlayStation. Looking up where all the hidden items are and sneaking around to get them. Just enough story to make you think, something's going on here, but IDGAF because I'm killing the bad guys.
old game but pretty enjoyable on the deck
It's a lot of fun. The last island isn't as great as the first two, but it's still enjoyable enough. Great melee combat, beautiful scenery, impressive large scale battles. If you don't mind being locked in 30 fps I think this game scratches an itch as a hack-n-slash fantasy title. Definitely not a bad game by any means.
