Bio Inc. Redemption is a medical (diagnostician) simulator. Think of *House M.D.* meets *Democracy 3*. There are two main modes: be a good guy and cure the patient of their diseases. Or be "Death" and hit them with all the worst maladies known to mankind to make them pine for the fjords within a set number of seconds (or whatever the challenge may be). The Death mode is actually way easier than the Life one. Death feels casual even on the hardest difficulty, while Life is pretty hard even on Medium. (Hey, just like real life!) While the game mechanics are generally rooted in reality (you need to deduce diseases from symptoms and the body's deterioration rate), the cases are far from realistic (not too many patients have 10–12 diseases simultaneously, including some of the "best" ones, like emphysema, leukemia, and lupus). Also, the point-collection mechanic felt really out of place. Luckily, it can be switched off fairly early in the game.

Bio Inc. Redemption is a very fun game in my opinion. it's one of those games that can make you completely lose track of time or help you unwind after a long day. that said, it can also get pretty stressful when you're close to losing, which is definitely rage-inducing. the game lets you choose between two paths: life or death. of course, i'm a genocide enthusiast, so i always choose death, but it's up to you whether you want to be a pacifist or not. one of my favourite features is that you can name the patient you're curing or killing. whether that's your worst enemy, your friend, or just some random name, it makes each playthrough a little more entertaining. there are also other modes like multiplayer and sandbox, which i haven't tried yet, but they seem interesting. i'd recommend this game if you enjoy strategy games, managing resources, or causing medically questionable amounts of suffering to fictional patients. overall, i had a lot of fun with it and definitely think it's worth playing. (PS: if you don't think it's worth full price, just wait for the sale! i got it 80% off and it's totally worth it!)
