peg solitaire (jump over things and reach the exit) with some story and a hacking coat of paint. lots of fitting lingo, instant and almost silent text, one beep per textbox. can choose story or only puzzles mode and a male or female avatar, but no player profiles, starting a new game erases the save. 60 levels in 5 packs. solve one stage to unlock 3 more, do them all for the next pack. [b]way too restrictive, 8 of 12 should open the next one.[/b] there's a guide (single-screen what's what), an interactive tutorial for every pack and their new mechanic, dialog can be rewatched as well. no level numbers outside level select, level names only appear on top for a few seconds when a level starts and on level complete, which has next level, retry and level select as options. the root key has to reach the exit (root), but any subroutine can be selected and potentially moved to clear/make way. data cubes are optional. 3 per level, one for finishing (very much not optional thanks to the strict unlock system), one somewhere on the grid, and another appears when only one subroutine is left, so gotta clear everything for a perfect solution. A clever logic puzzle game where you dive into hacking puzzles and challenge your problem solving skills. The gameplay stays brain bending without being overwhelming, perfect for short thoughtful sessions.

And so the game requires an adequate number of chromosomes, not like a potato (like mine). It's a pretty engaging project in which it's nice to while away the time and catch up after tough projects, naturally, if your chill is sudoku or puzzles, but otherwise, the game has its own twist and demands on the thinking of a schoolchild's level of preparation.

I really enjoyed this game, and it stuck in my memory long after I finished it. I loved how each puzzle made me think differently and rewarded patience over speed. The clever mechanics and clean design kept me engaged the whole time, and I kept coming back just to see if I could solve the trickiest challenges.

Initially I thought it was a boring game, but then I won't be able to move away from it.
