Set in England during the mid-19th century, Blackberry Honey is a tale about maids, music, and unexpected romance.The story begins when our heroine, Lorina Waugh, is fired from her previous position as a maid in the stately home of Hartwell. With a large family back in Liverpool to support and a string of unsavoury comments circulating about her rather sudden dismissal, Lorina’s search for a new place of employment leads her to Bly.
Forced to work for fourteen hours a day, with little chance to rest, Lorina is bullied by the senior maids and, most embarrassingly of all, by the twelve-year-old daughter of the Lennard family, Lady Constance.
One of the only maids who deigns to speak to Lorina is the mysterious Taohua – but Lorina wishes she wouldn’t. Despite her lowly status, Taohua has her own private bedroom, never goes to church with the rest of the servants, and rarely interacts with anybody. Her aloof, almost cat-like personality, coupled with her peculiar complexion, eyes, and name, have inspired more than a few rumours around the Shropshire countryside that she might be a witch.
Lorina knows she should keep her distance from Taohua, and she wants to most desperately… but maybe there’s a pinch of truth to all the rumours, because she soon finds herself under the older woman’s spell.

[h1]I was pleasantly surprised by this story.[/h1] Fair warning though. If some nudity, sex or lesbianism offends you, then you should probably steer clear. Having said that, what sexual content there is, is done artfully and respectfully. The story revolves around Lorina, starting a new position as a maid at a distinguished residence. The era isn't really specified, but it is England, and likely the story was modelled on the Elizabethan era, something akin to Jane Austen's novels in time. I guess the crux of my point is, it features some racism and some of the other maids can be quite nasty. It can make you feel some pretty strong emotions, and at least in terms of the racism, is brazenly real, as that's what people were like back then. So the young ladies and even the maids to some extent are all highly fixated on status and that sort of thing. We find out as the story progresses, that Lorina had some history before coming to work here. Her eventual love interest starts out as a confused relationship as Lorina struggles with Taohua's strange behaviour (there's hardly any need to spoiler warning this as it's in the store page screenshots). 女主角性格太不討喜。前期自己地位不穩的時候，遇到GY同事耍大牌還敢頂幾句，後期攀上了靠山，再被GY同事直接搞針對蹭頭上臉的時候反而一聲不吭逆來順受了。倒也的確是容易招霸凌的體質沒錯。 劇本完成度很低。看作者的後記，本作最初是沒有太多脈絡的短篇黃油，後來擴寫成了有起承轉合的視覺小說，一度又想走多結局路線讓女主攻略不同女角，但沒有實現。而這些疑似可攻略角色的劇情既沒刪乾淨也沒完整鋪陳，懸在那兒顯得莫名其妙。 維多利亞時代的女僕故事，保留了當時文學作品常見，巨大階級差距之下的嚴峻霸凌欺凌情節，現代人的眼光會覺得很不舒服。一定要說優點的話，就是反映時代風氣吧。故事呈現了英國人對外國人、東方人的特殊興趣(性癖？)，而這份興趣又與偏見、排斥是一體兩面，算是比較有趣的一個元素。 美術、音樂都很粗糙。最好看的CG就是遊戲封面這張。慎入

What a wonderful and lovely story I am simping a lot for Taohua
peak story fr the only thing i "disliked" about it was the first kiss achievement maybe i missed something but i feel like it didnt really add anything to the story and kinda made me confused (especially since lady constance acts the same as she did the next time they see eachother)
