✦ AI summary
Players appreciate this game's surprising depth, customizable characters, local co-op features, and excellent value when on sale, but note that it suffers from wonky controls and AI issues that can be frustrating. The difficulty curve is steep and some find the game doesn't live up to initial expectations, though most still recommend it as a budget-friendly option for casual play with friends.
Very cheap on discount, fun with friends. Quite buggy though.2 found this helpful
It’s official, I have Alzheimer’s! I’m not sure how many times I’ve gone nuts trying to find this game, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was in the triple digits. It’s a long story, but the gist of it is that I saw the thumbnail art first, and since you can’t really make out what you’re looking at, my brain said the thing on the left is a space ship hovering slightly above the ground, so this is an amazing side scrolling shooter! Apparently I bought it, and I do remember playing it, but obviously it wasn’t what I thought it would be. The controls and A.I. are wonky, but it’s not bad, it’s just one of those things where your imagination made it out to be something WAY BETTER in your mind. I’d say I would recommend it as long as it’s on sale, but be prepared for some frustration.
There's a lot more game here than you'd think. There are a lot of different characters, all of which are very customizeable, it has local co-op, global leaderboards, and a lot more polish and attention to detail than first impressions would indicate. My only gripe is that the difficulty ramps up quite steeply pretty quickly, but even so, it's a fun little game, especially for the price.
