About Block Strategy
While trying to escape an overwhelming enemy force you warp through space to safety and must rebuild your base. Defeat enemies to receive a choice of upgrades and resources to allow you to specialise your units and base in different ways and defend from waves of enemies.
Gather enough strength (and fuel for your reactor) to travel to the enemy base and defeat them for good.
Place buildings to provide extra units, generate additional resources over time, power your base, or defend against waves of enemies. Enemies attack at specified intervals, giving you time to explore and gather resources before hunkering down to defend.
Create up to 6 hero units which can level-up and be augmented with different weapons and abilities. These allow units to specialise, becoming more of a damage dealer, healer, tank and more.
Explore the world , fight bosses and complete events to be rewarded with resources, buildings and upgrades.
Place blocks to block enemy paths, forcing them to attack where you're strongest, and allowing your units to reach new areas.
Destroy or mine blocks to gather resources and dig into caves

Enter caves, fading out the blocks above and providing an extra level of verticality to the world.
What Steam players say

Players praise this game's fresh take on the RTS genre with innovative mechanics like the action-based heat system that creates strategic depth, and many find it engaging enough to sink hours into despite a steep learning curve. The main criticisms center on rough execution: the tutorial is inadequate for the unintuitive mechanics, controls feel clunky, difficulty scaling is unbalanced with bosses ramping up too sharply, and the heat system's move restrictions make base building frustratingly inflexible. Most reviewers see solid potential in the core concept and appreciate the ambition, though
I saw this on advertised on Reddit, and it is an interesting take on an RTS. Having played it for nearly an hour though I can see how it would be fun, but there are just somethings that I suck the fun out of it. 1. The heat system - normally these are done with a timer, this is based on actions. You'e got to carefully think about what you want to do. 2. The bosses/events - I managed to clear two pretty quickly/easily, the scaling after that was near impossible. So many red reticles on the screen. 3. Base building - because of the way the heat system works you have to decide on what you want to build, and you can't build nice laid out bases because you can't fill in water or remove pillars easily without wasting your (minimum) 50 moves. I won't refund it. Interested to see how it is build on, but I probably won't play it again until there are some QOL updates and more content. My biggest recommendation is changing the heat system. Find a way to balance that and it'll be a much better game.6 found this helpful
There's the making of a truly great game here, but its a bit too rough around the edges. Controls are a bit clunky, and the tutorial is a bit lacking for what isn't a particularly intuitive game. I hope there's a major update, or a second game down the line, because I'd love to play it.3 found this helpful
I'd seen a few posts of this game on Reddit, I think in the RTS sub and was always quite intrigued by it. I just picked it up and tried it and have to say I think it's really pretty interesting. The developer has inserted lots of new ideas into the genre and it makes it feel very fresh, it's not the same old RTS tropes which to be honest, as much as I love the genre, I'm a bit tired of games recycling. It's quite a tough game, and there are some elements which could be a bit clearer to use (that said, I did skip the tutorial!) but outside of that I'd really recommend giving it a try. It's a very polished experience overall.3 found this helpful
