✦ AI summary

Players praise this physics-based destruction game as a superior successor to Angry Birds and Crush the Castle, highlighting its satisfying and visually spectacular destruction mechanics, variety of bomb types, and included level editor. The main complaint centers on Steam Deck compatibility issues, where the level editor was removed from the Steam Deck version and requires workarounds involving launch options and keyboard controls to access.

This is the Crush the Castle and Angry Birds game I've always wanted. The physics in those always felt just a little sluggish and dissatisfying. Here, the destruction is absolutely spectacular, a true visual treat. There's even a level editor, which is great! Although there's a major caveat for Steam Deck users as the developers specifically removed it from the Steam Deck version for some reason...? To get it back, you need to use SteamDeck=0 in launch options and use a keyboard control scheme as controller is not supported in either downloaded levels or self-made ones. Yes, that's incredibly unfortunate and a very weird decision. But hey, the game is still good.

the actual sequel to Angry Birds and Castle Crushers we needed. Really fun physics and different types of bombs, which makes retrying levels to get the gold much more fun. If you like any physics or knockdown games, you'll love this one.

After a few wordless panels showing invaders from space arriving on your planet and taking everyone prisoner, you appear on a map with your character. The map looks very nice, but it’s basically a form of stage selection where you have to beat stages for coins that then open up the path forward. Although the map is designed in a way that makes it seem like you could easily walk around the obstacles, especially with doors placed in the middle of the road but nothing around them, that wouldn’t be very interesting. Each section of the open map lets you play stages in any order, but you don’t have to beat all of them. There’s some exploration involved, with the occasional coin lying around on the map, but it’s always very clear where to go next. A stage contains some sort of structure, bombs, and alien invaders that you need to destroy to clear it. You do this by using the mouse to pull back your character, who is also a bomb, aim, and then release to send the bomb flying. Once in the air, you can press a button again to gain a boost, which causes it to hit objects with greater impact. Depending on the impact and the type of structure, pieces will break apart and ideally come crashi…
