About Born Race
Born Race is an action-adventure retro-style game about four sperms who wish to win the Most Important Race of Life. An odd adventure with a different story for each one of them. Challenges, exploration and puzzles are necessary for them to reach the ovum. Are you up to the challenge?

Born Race – it is a funny game about Four Sperms who are the only survivors of the Most Important Race of Life. All the other sperms have died due to the mysterious Invisible Barrier, failing to reach the Birth Sun and fertilize it. They have no choice but to run to the ovum, otherwise they will die. So they need to compete with each other in this race.

Along the way they will face several viruses, contraceptive methods and dangerous bosses who don’t want to let them be born. Diaphragm, Exterminators throwing spermicide, Morning-after Pills and a lot of viruses are just a few of them. The game also has several puzzles so you can go forward and explore each one of the levels. This way they advance and try to get to the Birth Sun.
Actually, each of them takes a different path to arrive there. This means the story of your character will be different from one another as well. About the characters, Mike is a basketball player, Sammy is a cheerleader, Tommy is a computer nerd and Beth is a nurse. They all have different personalities, a personal development, distinct levels and a surprising ending. After all, are they going to work in these professions after fertilizing, being born and growing up as humans in the future? Play it and find out.

Features:
- A Story For Each of the Characters: there are four sperms and unique stories so that you will be curious about how each one of them will progress on the game (and what their future will be like after they are born);
- Funny Story and Breakings of the Fourth Wall: the story has a humorous tone and they joke about being in a game. By the way, nobody respects Born Race game designer (unfortunately) and there is even a level called Condom, and yes, including different colors of it;
- Different Stages for Each Character: each sperm has stages with different puzzle resolutions. You start with Mike and then release the other three characters. Each of these new releases has the mechanics already learned and a new one that changes the whole game and the way to deal with the character's stage. Who imagined that pursuing birth would be so much fun? And to think that there are still 9 months later;

- Different Bosses: there are four unique and odd bosses! Your analysis is demanded to understand their weaknesses. They are all viruses or contraceptive methods trying to stop you. Notice that in real life they are used to prevent unwanted pregnancy, but here they are villains. It is all a matter of perspective;
- Infinite Lives and Checkpoints: keep calm because you are going to have infinite lives to try a lot of times. And every time you open a door, the progress is saved. Besides, once you reach a level you can access it at any time you want to pick up vitamins you haven’t collect;
- Indirectly the game is related to something involving sex but there is no pornography: rest assured, you will not see nudity, obscene acts or anything that could embarrass your father or mother. Everything here takes place inside a fictional human body and of course there is some artistic freedom to create without turning the game into a medical consultation. It would be boring, don’t you think?
Information / Review English
Born Race is a 2D retro adventure created by Fabiano Naspolini.
Gameplay / Story
Sperm, the beginning of a new life, just read that right and this game is about that. In your first attempt at life, however, only Mike will be available to you. The other three will be unlocked when you have successfully completed the race with Mike. There are a total of four types of sperm and each of them has a special ability and brings it along and shines with it. Sammy is very smart and can find invisible walls and easily move through them to get to their destination. Tommy is invincible for 5 seconds when he wears a hat. Beth can teleport from one place to another like in Jumper. And Mike is super fast like Bolt was one. The game was divided into a total of 5 stages, each with three levels. Boss fights have also made it into the game and smaller challenges like how quickly to get there. Collector friends pay attention, because there are 3 vitamin capsules hidden in each stage that need to be found.
Pro
+ Biology class + matching graphic style with music + Boss fights and multiple playable characters + Price / performance ratio …61 found this helpful

Follow The Cpt Froggy Club Curator Page for plenty more!
Born Race: ~~~~~~~~ Isn’t life amazing when you think about it! We were all launched the same way and we all had to swim upstream as fast as we could, accompanied by not one or two, but up to 500 million potential brothers and sisters. All with one common goal! To reach the super comfy lounge, rest and evolve over 9 months, and then voila, here you are. I know, it is a far-fetched explanation, but it was the only one that came to me when many years ago, my son asked, “Where do babies come from, Dad?” It’s usually a discussion that occurs unexpectedly; awkward, funny as you try to keep a straight face, and a discussion that never seems to end as your child keeps coming up with more and more questions. Thankfully, for the upcoming generation of parents, all they might need to do is to turn on their computer and have a quick go at Born Race with their children. Born Race is a top-down educational puzzle-platformer game developed and self-published by Fabio Naspolini on the 5th of April 2021 on the Steam platform. What a fun a…5 found this helpful

My play through of Mike's Story Here: https://youtu.be/CGUzBfNUlNs Review: I really like the game the mechanics are simple and work really well. The game also has an educational factor coupled with some witty humor and is probably my favorite part of the game. The only thing I really dislike is because the mechanics are simple having to backtrack on certain stages to pick up power ups gets a bit redundant and wears on you especially as you do the other characters even though they have new added mechanics. Mike's story took me about an hour to play through, so having 4 different routes there's a good bit of content. Definitely worth the price for 2.99.1 found this helpful
Born Race is a game that we notice its simplicity and limitations in the first few seconds, which is not necessarily a bad thing, many games from the Flash era (which Born Race is very reminiscent of) were simple and limited, but excellent. It could be a game to put on the shelf of games that remember this era, which would be great for someone like me, who spent this entire era consuming countless games. But some points really harm the game. The mechanics are not very precise, which greatly harms a game where speed and the aforementioned precision are fundamental. This could be left aside, if there weren't the second and biggest problem: The bosses. There's no problem with them being difficult, and I don't think they're exactly difficult, the problem is the lack of clarity and problematic mechanics that make some bosses, like the robot, which is the second boss, beatable basically by luck. It could be an interesting game, but the boss fights hurt everything too much. A pity.
