The DARPA Robotics Challenge (DRC) was a prize competition funded by the US Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency. Held from 2012 to 2015, it aimed to develop semi-autonomous ground robots that could do "complex tasks in dangerous, degraded, human-engineered environments. The DRC followed the DARPA Grand Challenge and DARPA Urban Challenge. It began in October 2012 and was to run for about 33 months with three competitions: a Virtual Robotics Challenge (VRC) that took place in June 2013; and two live hardware challenges, the DRC Trials in December 2013 and the DRC Finals in June 2015.

Boston AInamics (an unauthorised riff on the name of the robotics company, Boston Dynamics, I hope they sue) is a basic educational/puzzle game where you must lay out instructions for what looks like a Unity Asset Store flipped robot who will follow along a path and if your instructions are correct, survive till the end without falling in a heap from stubbing its toe. In fairness I think they generally tried to make a game here, the whole thing isn't some kind of store asset/template/tutorial flip. They just didn't really know how to make a game that's well polished and fun to play. I get it, game development is hard, not everyone gets to be an astronaut, you must be this tall to take the ride. All that can be forgiven, but not charging $10 USD for this bundle worsener (they dumped it very quick into shovelware game bundles). $10 gets you a lot of great games on Steam like Frostpunk, Metro and Skyrim, so it's impossible to ask anyone considers this against the competition.9 found this helpful
