It's a complete ghost town now. I did really enjoy Brain/Out when I played it years ago. At its core, the game is basically a flat, 2D version of Counter-Strike, but it had some genuinely refreshing ideas that made it stand out. The concept of being invisible and only being revealed when you fired a shot or when another player was looking in your direction was incredibly immersive. It created a unique cat-and-mouse dynamic where positioning, awareness, and knowing when to reveal yourself could completely change an encounter. The game also had a vast array of different weapons, and the combination of the weapon variety with the stealth/reveal mechanics made the combat surprisingly fun. There were also several different game modes, including Capture the Base, Deathmatch, and others, which gave the game variety. When there were actually enough players around, there was a lot of fun to be had here. Unfortunately, the player population has declined to the point where the game is basically unsustainable for me now. There is simply nobody on most of the time, and when I do find someone, I'm often forced to join their game, which usually means playing against someone from Russia or an…

feels clunky to play and its a grind, has lootboxes, is abandoned/finished, collects data, possibly unfinished or buggy, has something like an extraction shooter mode. its unlikely that anyone will play it, but it is not a bad game for what it is, so ill thumb up.
