Breaching Harkon

Wasn't sure what to expect with this. Got a nice little Nuclear Throne/Voidigo type of shooter with a Liam Neeson worthy plot. While I don't think it has the legs of those games (Or Mr. Neeson), I do feel it's worth the price point and a few replays (different difficulties). Gun building is quite fun and varied, combat feels great and punchy, and I like the art style. Would breach again.

Really fun game to play. I have beat the game on easy and normal and will hopefully beat it soon on Extreme. The guns in this game are really cool and some shred the enemies so well. I also really enjoyed the customization on my guns. I like all the attachments I can add and they really buff the guns so well. I love similar games like Enter the Gungeon so playing this is a lot of fun.

You follow a dad who lives deep in the woods with his daughter, far away from everyone. One day he returns from the city and finds that someone has broken into the house and kidnapped her. A name is mentioned, one that belongs to a billionaire, and it seems there is some history behind it all, perhaps a past life that has come back to haunt a dad who is actually very good at killing. There is not much to say about the gameplay because it mostly revolves around progressing through waves of enemies by shooting them. A proper dodge move is missing, so instead you rely on a shield that can absorb only a limited number of hits before it shatters. The starting machine gun has limited ammo, but your secondary pistol has unlimited bullets and can get you out of a tight situation. To replenish ammo there is an ammo box somewhere on each stage that never runs out, but you have to pay every time you restock. You can carry only two weapons. The primary slot can be swapped for different weapon types, while the secondary slot is always reserved for a pistol. Money drops from enemies every time you hit them, not only when you kill them, and occasionally they also drop a health pack that restor…

This game is so good The art is amazing The music is quite good And it is very very challenging Imo comparable to Yawnoc However, the game is still in development so there are a couple of bugs YET the second I mentioned any of them in discord they were fixed the day after...

This was the first roguelike game I've ever played, and man, what an introduction to the genre! Boasting fluid, fun combat, with an intriguing, creatively-minded upgrade system, Breaching Harkon is simply a joy to play. There's a difficulty curve, certainly, but with enough time, the game is very doable and rewarding. I've beat the game on all three difficulties: easy, normal, and extreme, and look forward to challenging myself more. If you're a fan of roguelikes, then I'd highly recommend you give BH, as I call it, a shot!

No unlocks, No meta-progression, seemingly nothing to distinguish run from run besides which random stat upgrades you get. It's very barebones, and it isn't a roguelite.
