About Buggy Game
Buyer beware: Buggy Game is NOT an arcade game! This is a simcade game with a simulated tyre model, load transfer, differential, power curve and everything!
It's easy to pick up, but you can't just crash your way to the finish. You are going to need to work your way up the pack with style and grace. And a little bit of well-timed aggression, because the AI is very competitive!
The main event is the campaign mode, where you try to become champion by collecting the most points while racing procedurally generated tracks through various worlds, but beware - if you damage your car too much, it's all over.
There's also a time trial mode, with ghost cars from both your best run, and the developer's par record. Are you better than me? Only one way to find out!
This game is best played using a gamepad with analog controls. Keyboard and steering wheels are also supported.

Way harder and more intimidating than Dark Souls.4 found this helpful
Unfortunately, I think most people would look at the graphics of this game, and pass it by. And on the other hand, if the dev went the extra mile and updated the graphics (let’s say roughly neo geo rally game style) I think it could really get the recognition it deserves! But either way, this game rules, just get it already!3 found this helpful
I only played this for a little bit, but I think this game is best played in short bursts anyway. So far I really like the game, even if it is difficult and I'm not the best at it (~_~''). Passing in particular seems to be my weakness, since collisions can cost alot of health. If you have played rally or offroad racing games in the past, more so on the sim side of things but even on a more causal level, I think you would enjoy this too (and it helps that the simpler graphics can run better on more PCs, altough some visual touches such as shadows or tire tracks would be nice too. The music fits well imo). Patience is key, though, and knowing that winning isn't everything in this game can help with that. I hope in the future (or sequel) the dev(s?) can add minor visual customization or more rally/rallycross inspired elements, such as jumps, puddles, and possibly a stadium-like biome. And while I'm perfectly happy with a single player experience, I feel like local mutliplayer would suit this game well, considering the vertical orientation of the tracks for splitscreen. Even sharing one screen, it could function more like Micro Machine's style of "steal the screen" gameplay. But I digr…1 found this helpful
Seems like a fun game so far, and it's Deck compatible. It's still in early development and could use a few more features such as turbo boosts or maybe vehicle weapons to mix up game play a little bit. Also, this game is pretty difficult. Allow more difficulty options, maybe like choosing the starting position instead of always starting in 10th or make it so the AI makes mistakes. Multiplayer would also be a lot of fun. It would be cool to see vehicle mounted guns that use the right joystick to aim separately from the movement of the vehicle or just anything that used more of the steam deck’s features. Increasing the price would also be OK if it gets more development.1 found this helpful
I never write reviews, but for this game I need to. The game is excellent! Yes the graphics are very simple and not for everyone, but the car physics are amazing, and the AI is one of the best I've ever seen. Every car is different, and the procedural generated tracks make the game really awesome. I am a "free time game developer" myself, mainly in racing games, but one more time the AI is truly amazing, I could never do it. Congrats for the developer ;)
remember to take a deep breath before the next race starts
