Button Pop is a great wee game, Simple concept, but provides a challenge. Art style is quite cute, and there is a decent amount of customisation for your buttons. As well as having a comprehensive upgrade and perk system to spice up game play and allowing you to take different approaches on each play through. Would recommend :-D3 found this helpful
Refreshing take on tower defence games. Totally immersive game play with clever use of characters for offence or defence. Massive selection of add on's to give almost limitless variation to game play . Pick your button well and modify as you go.2 found this helpful
I'm already addicted! I love the mashup between my 2 favourite game types, clickers and tower defence. Very smooth gameplay and fun dialog. Each level is wildly different and requires different tactics and priorities to even make it to the bosses. Probably my favourite thing though is that the skill tree genuinely makes a difference and makes you feel like a god when you go back to the earlier levels. I mean... It even has collectables that unlock mutators for the levels. I would 100% reccomend at least trying the demo if it's still on steam because it is one of the best tower defence games I have played in years.1 found this helpful
This is a combo of tower defense and clicking genres. There are some aspects that I think are done well, like the upgrade system. Graphics are crisp and rather nice. It's surprisingly charming considering the enemies are buttons, and you're a button. The pacing is, well... I disliked the pacing. There's a lot of vigorous clicking required, which you can use the keyboard or mouse for. I guess that'll allow you to switch your wrists up occasionally to help them out, but in the end it just became far too repetitive for me at an early pace. Heck, I didn't finish a single level in my over 30 minutes of playtime. I have no idea how many waves there are supposed to be. Once you complete a wave there's a period of time that you have to make upgrades, move towers, stuff like that - but it feels like it's quite too long before enemies start to show up and you can begin your next wave. You can place some towers that will earn coins automatically so you don't have to spend as much time clicking, but it still feels like such a long process.. At the end of the level, by death or success I imagine, you earn parts and your level up gauge will move a bit. Levelling up gives you skill po…1 found this helpful
Brilliant game! Awesomely done, the game design, the art, and the concept is highly addicting. Would highly recommend 👍
Game is challenging which is fun but give me more customization over what's going on. The settings button is right under the button so I hit it more than I should. I have to hold left click to drop walls and molotovs but it doesn't work half the time. I spent more time trying to get the UI to work with me than I did actually clicking the button.
