This game changed my life. I don't believe there are enough words in the English language to truly describe this masterpiece of media. If anything, I believe this game to be up there, or maybe even beyond, the titans in gaming. I'm talking of course about games such as Ocarina of Time, Chrono Trigger, Minecraft, The Last of Us, and so on. There's so much to dissect in this game, and a ton to pick out when it comes to deeper meanings and symbolism. I'll try to keep this spoiler free as much as I can. Firstly, the gameplay is simply superb. There is nothing to match it in my opinion. It's almost as though Morpheus himself whisked me away into a dream where I live fully lucid to take part in this experience. I say that from the immersion, and it's so beautiful that I couldn't tell apart this game and reality for a while since I finished my first and even my second playthough. It's surreal honestly, and for that I must say it was done flawlessly. This game truly does have my respect for how it did everything. Everything felt so smooth and perfect while playing that the game felt as though it was becoming second nature to me. Almost like it became an extension of my being and soul, so…

I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of y…

Two major gripes about this game 1. Toggle sprint. No, you can't change it, there's no option for hold to sprint. You also can't use the flashlight while sprinting, so you need to come to a full stop after pressing it to use your one measure to stop the Stalker. It's annoying and makes the flashlight feel unreliable. There's also a stamina meter for your sprint and it feels way less manageable than other games that have a similar mechanic mostly because they don't use toggle sprint. Toggle sprint is best utilized for open world games where you can be running in one direction for five minutes at a time, not really all that helpful for a map the size of a house. 2. They throw two monsters at you right at the beginning. Most games with multiple monsters let you get used to the map layout and mechanics of one monster at a time to ease you into the experience, this game goes '♥♥♥♥ that' and throws two at you right away, even though they behave differently than one another and you'll need to get used to the Weeping Woman almost instantly after she spawns to avoid dying to her, all the while still running around and coming to a full stop to reset the Stalker. However I could let thi…
