About Cannon Jump
"Don't forget to bring your cannon! Shoot down and jump up, it will help you,” said the old pirate. I left the tavern determined to find the mysterious island. Legend has it that countless treasures are kept up there.
In this game, you have to jump and climb up using the classic "rocket jump" technique. But it will not be easy, it will take many attempts, there will be many falls. The map of the old pirate says that unthinkable treasures await you from above.

This game was inspired by Jump King and Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy.

"In shooter games, rocket jumping is the technique of using the knockback of an explosive weapon, most often a rocket launcher, to launch the shooter into the air. The aim of this technique is to reach heights and distances that standard character movement cannot achieve. Although the origin of rocket jumping is unclear, its usage was popularized by Quake."

Players praise this tower-climbing platformer as an addictive and challenging experience with clean visuals, good music, and affordable pricing, comparing it favorably to Getting Over It but with more refined controls. Common complaints include limited customization options (no FOV slider or toggle sprint), frustratingly basic cannon physics that only provide vertical boost, overly steep difficulty progression, and some environmental collision issues that detract from the experience.
found this game bc of joeseppis video, one of the best ways to make a type of game where you are climbing a big tower and if you fall you lose progres. I still hate thoes stupid trees tho12 found this helpful
I have 3 main big complaints that make this unenjoyable for me. 1 - Can't change the FOV, the default is way to low, it feels much lower than 90 which is somewhat nauseating. 2 - Why is there a sprint button with no option to toggle on "always run"? The movement speed is so slow without running and releasing run while mid air removes all your horizontal velocity for some reason. 3 - The cannon physics are so basic to the point of having 0 finesse. No matter where you shoot you only ever gain vertical velocity. It's impossible to boost yourself sideways off a wall like any other game with rocket jumping. There doesn't seem like there'd ever be a situation you'd want to shoot anywhere other than straight down at your feet.5 found this helpful
this is like Getting Over It but without tedious controlls lol still infuriating tho. 10/102 found this helpful
Its a difficult game to beat, but the game mechanics are both fun and addictive.1 found this helpful
I am going to approach this in as fair a way as possible. as a game developer myself I try to show support for other small game devs and provide feedback where I can. the game as a concept is fairly good. the models are nice, the music is very in theme, the shark is a helpful aid to prevent you from drowning. I personally am not at all good at this game but I will still acknowledge it's ups and downs. ups: 1. neat concept and theme 2. music is decent despite being repetitive 3. shark. he is friendly 4. very affordable. 5. models are cleanly made and unique. downs: 1. difficulty arc is way too steep. (could be me I'm not very good at the game) 2. extremely limited flexibility in how the game feels. (only can change the mouse sensitivity slider) 3. many scenery models are intangible kinda breaking the ambiance. 4. way WAY too easy to loose all progress by accidentally tapping the "R" key. 5. given that the loading screen shows a map pointing to treasure, I feel like it could be better suited to have this game feature levels rather than one big mountain. 6. might just be me but the downward facing blast feels like it should exert more force than it actually does. suggestions…1 found this helpful
A decent and very difficult 3D-platformer - good content for a low price.1 found this helpful
