Capsule Jump

"Capsule Jump" is a basic tech demo/homework assignment, an extremely lazy first person Unity 3D platformer with zero effort put into the visuals. It's no surprise this was an abject failure. This features fairly low quality low poly 3D visuals which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and it's clear the developers behind this didn't understand that. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. The developer was charging $3 USD for this. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It's a nice gesture for the game to be given away for free, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 3 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Игра "Capsule Jump" - это захватывающе простая, но невероятно увлекательная аркада. Суть геймплея гениальна: направлять капсулу, прыгающую между платформами, касаясь экрана, чтобы менять направление. С каждым прыжком сложность возрастает, платформы становятся меньше и двигаются быстрее, требуя молниеносной реакции и точного расчета. Визуально игра оформлена минималистично и приятно, яркие цвета не утомляют глаза, а простой дизайн позволяет полностью сосредоточиться на игровом процессе. Меня особенно затягивает возможность открыть новые скины для капсулы, требующие накопления внутриигровой валюты – это мотивирует играть дальше и улучшать свой результат. Хотя игра может показаться однообразной на первый взгляд, за счет нарастающей сложности и постоянного стремления побить свой рекорд, она легко способна "убить" несколько минут или даже часов свободного времени. Прекрасный выбор для тех, кто ищет простую, но затягивающую игру, которую можно запустить в любой момент. Рекомендую!

Although the controls are quite difficult and the physics aren't quite predictable, this is a free game and I can't knock that too much. This has the potential to give you a little bit of a laugh and a sweat.
