This was an incredible experience. Very magical whimsy little story. It's quite short, I hope there'll be more episodes in the future.

This game is way too short - not in the "don't buy it" sense, but in the "I badly wanted more of this" way. Brilliant style and atmosphere, some of the best I've seen in a while. I also loved that the game kind of "goes with the flow" when it comes to what the player can and can't do. "Glitching" is incorporated into the intended gameplay in a cool way I have rarely seen before. Overall, I'd call this more of a "prove of concept" or a fleshed out demo. But what's here can definitely stand on it's own and really just makes you want more.

I had an absolute blast playing this game. It’s a stunning, fairly short experience: dark, atmospheric, and a proper doom ’n’ gloom fairy tale. The gameplay never got boring once I started piecing together the game’s main narrative idea. Though yeah, I struggled without hints (my bad). Even so, I replayed it three times and still loved every minute of it. I freaking adore games published by CRITICAL REFLEX. They always bring something fresh and badass.

I do not know what I was expecting when I bought Carimara, but the final result exceeded expectations. I highly enjoyed the storytelling and the cryptic answers to all of the puzzles. First, I want to touch on the art and atmosphere of the game. While it gives off complete and utter horror vibes, there are no jump scares, not running from monsters, or actual way to die. I have it categorized as a puzzle game in my library, and that is what it truly boils down to, a puzzle game with a dark atmosphere. The art and render style of the game gives off vibes of an early arcade game while having some interesting and modern mechanics. Speaking of mechanics and overall game play, all you really need to play this game is movement keys (WSAD) and mouse. There isn't any other key bindings that add to the game. Your goal is to find items for cards that you can use in conversation with three NPCs. I found each of the items pretty easy to click, with the slight exception to the key, so if you know where the center of your screen/crosshairs would be, that would give you a significant bonus.
