About CARIMARA: Beneath the forlorn limbs
I had a blast creating this little game. It's a short experience, and I hope the secrets and little surprises I hid in it will stay with you for a long time!- Bastinus RexYou are the Carimara. Small, mute, sorcerous. Born of moss and mirrorlight, skilled only in the art of asking. Wandering a house stitched from grief and riddles; you don't speak, you don’t chant, you don’t fight. You hold the house by its dead hands and conjure questions from dust, from bone, from whatever’s left behind. Be careful not to press too far, or wake you might, what's sealed afar.
It waits in the gloom with a breath held tight, a hush that has lingered far past the night.
You Are Mute, But You Have A Gift Of Conjuring Questions
You speak through cards with glyphs long lost, in halls where kindness hides its cost. Some smile, some sneer, some simply stare, but all who watch know you are there.Every Object Is A Memory
Within these walls, let silence guide, where cards bloom from what things once hide.Ask gently now, with ghostly touch. Some secrets crack when pressed too much.A Stillness Dressed In Dust And Flame
Candlelight flickers on furniture worn, in rooms where silence was weathered and torn.It waits in the gloom with a breath held tight, a hush that has lingered far past the night.
A Tale In Threads Of Quiet Dread
No blades to swing, no foes to fight. Just riddles wrapped in candlelight. For those who seek what lies askew, where stories murmur back to you. What Steam players say

What a lovely little game! The puzzle in the centre of this game is a very good one. The mechanics, well, mechanic (singular) more like, is a good one. Working to find things out feels satisfying and logical. I really like this game, despite it being quite a short one. It's certainly worth the 5 euros.2 found this helpful
A short and satisfying puzzle game that feels like a fairy tale. You play as the titular Carimara, a mute goblin mystic who uses their magic to create cards in order to communicate with others. You've been hired to investigate an old hag's house and rid her of a ghost that has taken up residence in her cellar. While I wouldn't consider Carimara to be a pure horror game, the combination of the dark fable setting and small subtle moments of tension give it a spooky edge. You are well rewarded (or maybe punished?) for keeping an eye out of for what's behind you, hehe. The style of this game is a major draw; the characters are incredibly expressive and the hag's hut and surrounding forest are dense with detail. Everything is rendered in a way that results in an ethereal and dream-like beauty. It's definitely one of those games where it's nice to just hang around, soak in the atmosphere and take it all in. The main puzzle felt satisfying to pick apart, but the real meat of the game is in figuring out the secrets lying below the surface. Carimara makes great use of its limited tools to add some difficult puzzles that require you to be observant of the smallest details. It's well wor…
:D
very enjoyable short game. creepy but peaceful atmosphere, some of the most unique visuals and storytelling i've ever seen. fully worth it
CARIMARA: Beneath the forlorn limbs, is beyond perfect. A short but rich experience that stuck in my mind for days after completion. Its uniquely eerie yet comforting atmosphere. Mysterious and whimsical characters. All I kept thinking while playing CARIMARA was; I wish I could live in this world, among the strangeness and beauty. I truly hope there will be a prequel of this lovely game. Retelling the story of
Violet and Lavender's love and adventures together. As they protect the world from Lunaria. I would love to experience their journey before sealing her away.
10/10
I wasn't expecting anything from this game and I thought it was an amazing experience. Very good and disturbing art not like others PS1 graphics typed games, this game game has its own unique style that sets it apart. It's very short but it offers just enough to keep you entertained trying to solve all the puzzles without getting bored. Highly recommended and definitely worth the price.
