About The Forgotten City
Travel back 2,000 years to a cursed Roman city where one person's sin dooms everyone, forcing you to uncover the mystery through interrogation, moral choices, and time-loop manipulation rather than brute force. Your decisions shape multiple endings in this open-world historical mystery where dialogue and cunning matter more than combat.

Travel 2,000 years into the past and relive the final days of a cursed Roman city, where if one person sins, everyone dies. Combat is an option, but violence will only get you so far. Only by questioning an intertwined community of colourful characters, cleverly exploiting the time loop, and making difficult moral choices can you hope to solve this epic mystery. Here, your decisions matter. The fate of the city is in your hands.
- Explore an open-world ancient Roman city with historically authentic art, architecture, costumes and customs
- Investigate a gripping, non-linear mystery with multiple endings
- Become entwined in the lives of richly detailed, deeply interactive characters
- Grapple with moral dilemmas which have life-and-death consequences
- Play as whoever you want, by choosing your character’s gender, origin and backstory
- Solve problems with reason, charm, bribery, intimidation, violence, or by cleverly exploiting the time-loop

Great game for the non sweats. I love an interesting game that doesn't require extreme skills but is still entertaining, creative, challenging, enjoyable, and fun. I played over a weekend non stop. I really loved the style of the game. It's been five years now. Time to get back to work on a new one!2 found this helpful
Probably one of my favorite games. It took me a while to get into it.. initially the first hour or two I thought the presentation was lackluster, some of the dialog options irksome, and the gameplay to be stifling and limited.. but the more I played the more I became addicted and the more I was excited to see what would happen next.. uncover the next secret. This game checks off my big qualifiers for a truly excellent game: ✅Intricate metroidvania/Spencer mansion/souls like world or game map that is tight and focused and a joy to explore ✅ (SPOILER FREE) Multilayered story that unravels like a onion, the more you peel and the deeper you cut the more you cry.. not that it made me cry it's a figure of speech.. rather, the story created multiple layers of intrigue that emotionally resonate and genuinely surprise as you get deeper into the story ✅ Excellent music ✅ Characters that you care about.. in fact as the game plays out you almost become addicted to opening them up more and exploring their dialog and stories and quests. ✅Strong visual identity. The graphics are definitely not the best.. but the game is very nice to look at and I suspect in 10 years or more the game will stil…1 found this helpful
I found this game after a second playthrough of outer wilds. I wanted something explorative, with a good time loop thing, and trying to figure out the story through different jump backs. This game was a highly recommended play after outer wilds so I had high hopes. Then I saw it was only made by a few people so I lowered my expectations and boy was I wrong to do so. This game was fantastic. It was a bit linear in the beginning but after you launch you really get into the story. Each thing you do changes the course of the story bringing you to one of four endings. What you learn and who you confront plays a big role as well. Not to mention the beautiful scenery. I put this in the category of “wish I could play it for the first time again”
Amazing game. I came here from the Skyrim quest mod, definitely worth to play.

A beautifully unique take on antiquity Rome with mythical and twisting turns of the old world. Heavily recommend since it goes on sale for quite cheap!
