Chase Fox's second game and the second installment in the "CARROT" series.
The second installment in the “CARROT” series. Take place in the same world as the first one, packed with familiar faces, and also some new ones.
CARROT: Pancakes and Waffles is a tiny walking simulator game that takes place in a small coastal town. You can choose to play as one of the two main characters. Explore their home to learn about them, while doing that you might encounter NPCs that will also go on about their life. This game functions exactly like a digital house that you can walk around inside. The game is suitable for players who enjoy existing in a hand-crafted digital space and admiring the art. There is essentially nothing to "do" in this game. There will be no goal to work toward, no quest to complete, no progression mechanic and no ending to achieve.
When you start the game, you will start a new in-game day. Each day brings with it a new set of experiences. For example, different food will be served at Lunch and Dinner everyday, the NPCs will have different agenda everyday. You control how time flows, everytime you eat a meal, time will move forward. Play until night time and go to bed to end the day and start a new day.

to be honest I do prefer the first Carrot game , I miss some dialogues , some more interactions and some quests for sure but to be completely honest I was waiting for CARROT: Pancakes and Waffles because the amazing art style and the chill experience are totally worth a buy for sure4 found this helpful

Personally, I like Carrot 1 best, you read and follow the story. The 2nd one isn't bad, but I feel less immersed in it, it's more a walking simulation based on carrot 1 story. Le 2ème n'est pas mal mais je me sens moins captivée parce que c'est plus une simulation de marche, qui reprend l'histoire de carrot 1 . A beautiful conceptual game that feels like jumping into a live painting! I recommend playing the 1st game "Carrot" to better understand who the characters are. Both games are short but have a fair price, get them on sale if you're unsure, but there's enough details to discover and I had a delightful and relaxing time playing them. My only criticism for the 2nd game is that it could benefit from achievements like: "All food found" "All cards found" "All food eaten at dates", so one could keep track of the things that one has discovered.1 found this helpful
