Anomaly President

For those of you wondering what kind of a game this is, It's inbetween Rocket League and Dark Souls. Or not idk good game tho.

Fixes all of the gameplay issues I had when playing Anomaly Agent. I was having a lot of fun playing this when the early access end of game notifier ruined my night. So far, an absolute blast and one of my favorite roguelikes so far, pretty even to dead cells. I also like the little story bits that appear when playing a level over again, gives good replay value to the levels. Right now it's an 8/10 with potential for higher in full release. Definitely keep your ear out for full access

What's the most important thing of rogue-lite game genre? Players plays the same few levels, so it is easier to develop and game provides a longer playthrough when compared to a linear video game. Bruh, really??? I literally don't care how developers develop their game. I just look at the product as a gamer. The most important thing of rogue-lite genre is GAME CYCLE. Because of rogue-lite games have the "new run -> die -> new run" cycle, each run has to give brand new fresh gameplay. Or else each run gets instantly boring. Unfortunately, Anomaly President is one of them and gets more boring after each run. So, we should ask: How can each run feel unique and why Anomaly President don't have it? A rogue-lite game should be able to let players to try different builds. In Anomaly President, each run you make almost the same build. You can choose different anomaly power-ups but they are just visual not functional. Also each run you play the same mini-games. Fortunately, they are optional but you have to play them to gain resources. Elemental power system of the game is not good. They just increase the damage and change visual, not effective. Really fun like most of it but the story is a bit weird. 8/10

For an action roguelike, I was highly impressed with both the RPG elements and combat. It is a creative game, and the weapon choices are enjoyable to use. I love the anomaly powers that you gain throughout each run. As well as some of the fluffies that resemble some famous characters. The fact that you also have to gain voters during each run is a nice incentive. The only downside I had was given the option to go back to the bus, but I could not do anything while I was on said run. You can only upgrade when you are unalived. Kind of vexing, a bit. Still a solid game, and having no trophies should not be a deal breaker for anyone. It is a solid buy. - Beast Out -
