About Catizens

Herding cats is easy! Said no one…ever

Your main job in Catizens is to build your town around the personality traits of its inhabitants. Just like in real life, cats require personal attention and special treatment. Combinations of different personality traits and moods affect their proficiency and obedience. Catizens form relationships with each other and will occasionally issue personal requests, so you will need to learn what makes each cat happy in order to stay on their good side.

Create unique cats and design the perfect home

Pick from an assortment of facial and body features, as well as personality traits to create cats with distinct looks and temperaments. Design a place just for them by decorating your settlements with pieces of furniture, plants and other items. The better furnished a town is, the happier your catizens will be. So get creative!

Build and manage your settlement

Catizens can learn a variety of professions – from farming, to blacksmithing or offering protection from local wildlife. Different building types unlock depending on the traits and professions available. There’s no need to micromanage the entire settlement when it gets large. Invest your time and attention in a few outstanding cats and let them become town leaders.

Explore the wilderness

Develop your settlement, complete objectives and expand to areas with different environments that offer new adventures. Carefully examine your surroundings to find the best fishing spots, hidden treasures and quirky characters that may offer a quest.

Well this was a disappointment, city builder with cats as citizens should have been an easy win, cause it’s cute representative of genre, that is not that often provides lovely titles. Buuut, just look at screenshots - graphics look like they were lifted from mobile device and unfortunately gameplay along with ui too. What’s interesting that it seems like Catizens was not made for that, it was a pc game, however as mentioned does not feel like that. Sound design matches quality of two other aspects, that’s all that could be said about it. Plot is probably the best among worst, even though it’s nothing to write home about - you’re part of Cat kingdom expedition and go through several varied locations from easiest first green pastures to volcano top with fire dragon living there. City builder aspect btw is pretty small as everything else - there aren’t many structures you could place and most of them are locked behind your builder skills. Oh right, all your cats could be either without profession or one of six - knight, acolyte, ranger, farmer, builder, blacksmith. Each of them deals with their specific tasks, except for combat roles - ranger, knight and acolyte, who are all ge…

it is a resource management game with also managing your cats. From Fights to fleas your cats can make or break your game. Resources are simple to gather and crafting all comes from the menu on the right side of the screen. recommend that you do play the campaign as it doubles as your tutorial. One element that stands out in the campaign is that you can recruit cats from your previous map to help you current map so staying and allowing them to level up helps in the current and future rounds. Another thing is that leveling allows for choices but also it is recommended to have your cats specialize as it unlocks new traits and buildings. I found the cat request system a little annoying as they don't explain how some of the request work like the timed one but apparently the cats get a status box that acts as a timer when you need it. Game does offer the same challenges that most other resource management games do but in cat form. I found the game to be a nice step away from the more serious games but not so bland that it felt like a clicker game. Game will not demand focus but doesn't punish if you seems to miss some things, as a game log does exist telling you the important events. If…

Constant nagging bugs that ruin an otherwise entirely mediocre experience. They went for simple and cute. Only they went too simple. You'll see everything the game has to offer after an hour. Easy skip.

Simple game where you build a cat kingdom. I enjoyed my time with it definitely a game you can use as a buffer between your main rotation.
