I've played Caveman Craig and the Special Edition. This is a very fun game and I am happy to see it continue to grow. Some improvements: 1) Hunter AI is not very helpful and will often stand still when they are needed to attack. The AI in the original games would immediately go to a dinosaur on screen. 2) The rock-throwing physics is awful. Please change this to either make it able to be aimed with the mouse or something similar. The target is useful in theory, but irritating in practice. 3) Maybe I haven't seen it yet, but please add a mode that is more of a sandbox or open-ended creation of a community. Overall, a great game with some minor corrections. For the price, I would recommend buying the game.1 found this helpful
love this game, but sadly it's pretty unstable sometimes game just freezes when you are trying to save (without actually saving, so you can lose tons of progress because of that). also the game just randomly crashes sometimes. not super often, but not very rarely too. so to not lose progress from random crashes, you HAVE TO save, but saves can also randomly lose you progress.. thats super annoying also it has fixed 40 fps, and its kinda okay, you get used to it quickly. also i didnt really notice the performance being worse even when you have hundreds of cavemans, so thats great also the game can be very frustrating at times, either from difficulty/balancing, or ai, or mechanics. either your ais being dumb and allowing others to die, or game spamming annoying dynos and not allowing you to do anything, or helping the enemies (at least enemies can struggle from dynos too). spear spam is also insanely OP and enemies love to do it, and they throw spearks like they are shooting from a machinegun.. and sometimes game can just throw tons of stuff at you randomly at the beggining basically forcing you to restart so yeah, game can be very annoying and frustrating at times, but there is…
Caveman Craig is a seriously underrated indie gem that blends strategy, survival, and chaotic fun in a really unique way. You build and manage your own caveman tribe, gather resources, and take on dinosaurs and rival groups, all while trying to keep your little crew alive. It’s simple to pick up but has enough depth to keep things interesting, especially as your tribe grows and situations get more intense. What really stands out is the personality. The cartoony art style and humour give the game a ton of charm, and there’s something genuinely satisfying about leading a bunch of cavemen into battle against dinosaurs. It doesn’t take itself too seriously, which makes it easy to just jump in and have fun. Local co-op is also a big plus—playing with a mate makes the chaos even better and adds a lot of replay value. Overall, Caveman Craig is a fun, creative, and surprisingly engaging experience. If you enjoy indie games with personality and a mix of strategy and action, this one is definitely worth your time. Score: 9/10 – quirky, fun, and well worth it “Ugh… build tribe. Smash dino. Good game.”
Braindead fun of a mobile game without the microtransactions. It can be a bit buggy though.
Cute and fun little strategy game with interesting gimmick of you having to teach your units how to do stuff. I'm not big on strategies, but It's neat
