About Changeling
Changeling is a non-stat raising, full-length visual novel about love, reconciliation, and trying to survive in a dangerous supernatural world. Play through about 25-35 hours of content and over 40 unique endings while trying to survive the perils of a newly discovered paranormal community. Romance one of 6 love interests as you uncover information about the supernatural and the secrets from your own past - all while you try to patch up your relationship with your twin brother who grows more and more suspicious of you with each passing day.
The human world accepted as reality is only a thin veneer under which lies a world of supernatural creatures, entities, and people. They live beside humans hiding their nature or walking among them unseen. And most people go about their lives entirely unaware of the dangers around them. Mysterious situations are written off as fake, or they're glossed over with some sort of mundane explanation.
The same was true for Nora, a normal girl struggling with the usual litany of everyday problems - including her crumbling relationship with an angry, resentful twin brother with whom she's nearly given up on reconciling.
But her family's return to the town in which she'd grown up set in motion a chain of events that would shatter every illusion she had about a world she thought she knew. Her eyes newly opened to the truth around her, Nora begins a journey to uncover the secrets of her own mysterious past and the reason for her brother's bitter hatred toward her. Alongside her best friend, and a group of unusual guys she met after her return, Nora begins to chip away at the lies shrouding her life. Lies that have been haunting her since childhood.
But in a world where Vampires, Werewolves, and Faeries are real, learning the truth may come at a high cost.

This game has a compelling story, but it also SUCKS! You get ONE choice in the entire story, and that's a hidden choice of Love Interest. Once you made that choice, NOTHING you do will make ANY difference! You can't hate your brother or let him die. If you reject the guy who's story-line you accidentally chose every step of the way, he STILL kisses you. You can't refuse to join the club. You can't reject the whole thing and try and live your name normally. You can't do your own thing without one or more of them breathing down your neck. You can't make stupid choices. You can't even join the actual Fae as far as I can tell thus far! You have NO choices! It may appear as if you do, but non of them matters one whit!! >_< I don't care if you end up dying, you should be able to CHOOSE!!! It's beyond annoying and idiotic that you can't. I LITTERALLY choose to refuse to go near the brother, and yet somehow you end up changing your mind and walking with him ANYWAY! And of COURSE it ends like that! It goes directly against just about every choice I ever made, so of COURSE that's how it ends! Absolutely loved this game. I dont replay visual novels a lot, usually im a one route and done kinda person but wow! I've replayed this one at least 3 times with different routes because I really enjoyed this story and love the characters!
One of my absolute favourite games, have been replaying it for years so thought i'd get it on steam too to support the dev
An amazing example of world & character building. Each character exists as their own person. They live as their own person outside of the relationship with the MC. I love all of the fantasy creatures that pop up (most are European fairytale related). I think the art is unique & pretty
I love this story even though I always get a "bad" friendly ending almost with each character. I love this story even if I left disappointed and sad after it. I love this story and for me it it dealbreaker that even though I don't like romances I love everything else in it. It's rare a bit creepy, but beautiful world and wide range of colorful characters cast. One of the best FemMC, great side characters, dubious but charming love Interests.
I played through one route and didn't feel the need to try the others. Usually I like to 100% an Otome but I couldn't really find a positive with this one. The characters were annoying, I loved the concept of being a changeling as a WOD fan but the way it was executed here wasnt compelling. I found it very youngchild/teen style writing, and to top it off the art was ugly. I did try and give it a fair go, but just cant recommend this one.
