About Chapter 1: Reditus
The Heremus is a ruined wasteland created after the fall of Corydon Deus.At its heart lies Vehere—a city of ashes, guarded by a Reditus machine that turns intruders into slaves. As Augustus, you will push deeper into this forbidden wasteland, uncovering ancient secrets, meeting unforgettable characters, and deciding the fate of a world that refuses to stay dead.Every ruin hides secrets.Every shadow hides a threat.Every decision could be the last.Core Mechanics:
- Exploration & Quests
Traverse a beautiful UHD 2D semi-open world packed with lore-rich NPCs, branching side quests, and narrative-driven objectives. - Strategic Turn-Based Combat
Combat is dynamic, emphasizing enemy weakness exploitation. Breaking enemy guards through the AMP (Assault Momentum Protocol) system allows for powerful follow-up strikes. - Quick Time Events (QTEs)
Add precision-based depth to combat—parry enemy blows, land critical hits, or activate timed combat bonuses during pivotal moments. - Overdrives
As damage is taken, characters charge unique Overdrive attacks—devastating moves that can dramatically shift the momentum of battle, ideal for boss encounters. - Character Progression
Gain experience, craft and loot equipment. - Robot Recruitment
Negotiate with sentient machines in SMT V-style conversations to recruit them to your cause. Each robot comes with unique abilities and personalities.
- No Random Encounters – Enemies roam the environment, allowing players to strategize before engaging.
- Loot and Craft – A deep item system rewards exploration and clever use of resources.
- 16-bit SNES-style Sprites & 3D Models – A nostalgic yet modern visual hybrid.
- Beautifully Orchrestrated Music
- Mini-Games Galore – A variety of fun distractions woven throughout the main game.

Loved the music, love the timing block mechanic, great job with the combination of 2D and 3D art styles, I like the puzzles too, also the rewards for exploration. Nice work, solo dev!2 found this helpful
Really enjoying Reditus so far. The HD-2D-inspired visuals look great, and you can definitely feel influences from games like Octopath Traveler and Final Fantasy. I’m still fairly early in, but the combat and overall presentation are great so far. Looking forward to seeing where the story goes.2 found this helpful
