Inspired by games such as Inscryption or Slay the Spire, cheesequest pits the player against an unknown opponent in a series of card battles. The objective is to stockpile food by growing crops or raising livestock, while fending off your supplies from any hostile creature that may be lurking.
Fill your food gauge to win. Be careful - slip up, and you could easily starve.
Gain cards, augment them, and fuse new ones.
Survive. Thrive.

Playing this game on Steam Deck but there seems to be a graphical glitch with the knife where parts of the UI disappear when you use it. I am using normal blood mode btw. I did select the weird one before but I reset my save to change it back. Plz fix.2 found this helpful

Inspired by card gaming classics, it's good, just try it at least
A simple roguelike-deck building game that wears it's Inscryption inspiration on it's sleeve. However, this doesn't make the game feel too derivative; the changes Cheesequest makes to the gameplay formula of Inscryption changes up how you approach winning each battle significantly, yet still captures that adrenaline pumping tensity that Inscryption has where it feels like the tables could turn with one round (for better or wosre) at any moment excellently. While the game in it's current state can feel very samey since there are few cards, and there being no way to permanently remove cards from your deck (to my knowledge) making it feel very hard to strategize during later rounds, the foundation this game has set is extremely solid and I look forward to see what a full release will look like.
