The future honestly isn't looking great for this platform, there is no upper management, nobody is steering the ship, and the developers present seem to be just doing whatever the hell they feel like doing instead of actually fulfilling the roadmap and implementing the things the community actually wants. which is disappointing since I have over 20k hours invested into trying to help build this place into something fun, but I don't have time or the luxury of sitting on my ass waiting years for something like actual decent scripting support which was promised long ago yet still not materialized. but hey cool at least we can have preferred pronouns on our name tags now and half a dozen different kind of personal mirror right ? neat. I would absolutely recommend this game. Ignore the bad reviews mentioning bans. Most of those are people complaining about things they "got banned for" when in reality they were banned for something else. Notable features: - Self moderation - Bans are generally appealable - You won't get banned for NSFW activities in private instances - As of the time of writing, there are no subcription paywalls and no plans to paywal existing features - Personal mirror - Personal pen - Props (FREE btw) - Content search (including worlds, props, *and* avatars) - Did I mention there aren't any paywalls?? - No avatar/world/prop/friend favorites list limit (unless you somehow accumulate 32 thousand in a single category) - favories list categories (if there's a limit I haven't heard of anyone reaching it) - Mods are allowed and even encouraged (there's even a mod that allows your avatar to ragdoll) - Ran by community members and devloped by modders Notable features useful for content creators: - VR rendering simulator in desktop mode (shows eyes side-by-side) - Shader performance visualizers - Gravity zones (including zero G) and fluid volumes (swimming) So yes, I would absol…

⭐ **2/5 – ChilloutVR has potential, but the avatar workflow is unnecessarily complicated** ChilloutVR has potential, but in its current state I find several things unnecessarily complicated. **The biggest problem for me is avatar setup and uploading.** Compared to VRChat, the whole process requires much more manual work. You have to deal with colliders, physics, animators, different components, and many other settings yourself. Another issue is the **avatar compression and optimization process in Unity**. Even when I use a basic avatar that I created myself in Blender, the avatar can break or lose parts of its functionality when preparing it for ChilloutVR. This makes the workflow frustrating, especially when you are starting with a clean base avatar that should already work correctly. **VRChat feels much simpler in this regard.** I can prepare a base avatar, add the features I need, configure toggles and upload it without having to manually configure so many different systems. I think it would be great if ChilloutVR simplified the avatar workflow and added better support for tools and plugins commonly used for avatar creation, such as **Modular Avatar** and similar solutions.…
