A generally light-hearted romantic VN, very focused on actual romance development, with little to no "main story" and slice-of-life stuff. Main hero is surprisingly realistic - he feels like you actual socially active teenager - awkward and inexperienced but not ridiculous "baka-baka" or "japanese doormat" type. Heroines are all cliches - little sister, tsundere, younger girl ect. - but they are well written and all their routes were enjoyable to me. Quality of writing is consistent One _huge_ problem is very weird editing and translation choices - Foreigner Girl originally had a quirk where she incerted english words into her japanese, translators flipped that and now she incerts japanese words into english, which is a huge problem for those of us who doesnt know a lick of japanese; another girl uses _lots_ of vulgar speech, I dont know if it is a correct translation, but it feels inconsistent and weird; our own MC constantly makes references which felt like their meaning was lost in translation. Gotta do better Sekai Project. R18 scenes are removed and there is no patch. The only way to "restore" them is to download the whole game from alternative sources. However R18 are not…

(Disclaimer, just a personal opinion of mine) First review: Absolutely enjoy the premise and storytelling. It is a wonderful visual novel that made me fall in love with the characters almost immediately. I would like to express how I felt about the game after putting in 13 hours at the time of this review but I fear I cannot properly convey it. I've only done Michiru's route so far and she is by far my favorite among all the girls in this visual novel. Her connection and endearing love for the MC + how she is as a character was a main driving factor for me to want to do her route first and foremost. It was by all means cinematic and lovely to see how these two bonded after many conflicts of inner turmoil and emotions. I love Michiru and the MC being together, it'll be difficult for me to do the other routes while not thinking about Michiru lol. Some may not like their relationship as it touches upon a certain "controversy" but I'm actually into their whole relationship so it was a joyful ride. Just to be clear, this is a not recommended for the Steam version, not Chrono Clock itself. Chrono Clock is an excellent visual novel and I highly recommend it. The Steam version however is a disaster. 1. The translation/localization is atrocious. I understand Japanese decently well and I can say that the translation is "loose" at times to say the least. Not to mention the localization completely ommiting honorifics. An especially jarring example is when characters clearly call the protagonist "senpai" and the text displays "Rei". There does exist an unofficial patch that rectifies some of these issues but it only works for the uncensored version, speaking of which... 2. You can't even get an uncensor patch for the steam version. Most VNs let you install a patch to restore censored content, not this one for some dumb reason. If you want the full version of the game (that the de-localization patch works with), you need to buy it again from outside Steam! TLDR: Chrono Clock is great, don't get it on Steam. PS: Also D.D.'s Engrish being localized into weeb-talk is pure pain to read.
