The negative review is mostly for the abrupt ending, however the rest of it wasn't good either. Uninspired soundtrack, horrific and swallow story and blunt characters... The gameplay is not refined even after all the time the game has been released and did stumble upon a few glitches. The puzzles were tasteless and the time mechanic mediocre at best. Only positive the graphics that were at least decent... Overall it is not worth of any amount of time or price ( even on 90% discount), as there are other games even on the same price range with much more to offer. Not recommended.10 found this helpful
Гра мені сподобалася. Вона дуже коротка, але головоломки цікаві. За таку маленьку ціну рекомендую.1 found this helpful
Chronology is a little short game where you have different ways to affect time by travelling to the past, the present or even freezing time itself. Yet, hardly any of the puzzles in the game feel that complex. This is a shame as the mechanics themselves are interesting, graphics are charming and you kind of start to like the characters as you progress the story. I wish there was a "neutral" review on Steam, because while this game certainly has its charm and feels fun, the lack of complexity in puzzles, its short length and the anticlimactic ending drain a lot out of the experience. It doesn't feel like a complete waste of time, though, so my review will be positive.
Nice little game. It's almost free when on sale. I bought it on sale a while back because I knew that it had issues on Linux. I only bought it so I could tinker with Protontricks and Proton versions etc. when I started to play games on Linux. I got it to work back in 2022/23. Now the game is Steam Deck verified. I played through the game on the Legion Go S with Z2 Go(SteamOS), finished the game with about 30% left on the battery. I needed to cheat on Canon puzzle.
This is a simple and short puzzle platformer. Most of the puzzles are pretty straightforward and the game doesn't overstay it's welcome. You will probably beat it in two hours. For some reason the ending wouldn't trigger at the end of the last level and it just brought me back to level select. I ended up having to watch the ending online after replaying the last level several and messing with the settings. Not a bad game overall.
The concept of the game is really fun and the mechanics add an interesting twist to what would otherwise be a pretty standard platformer. I had a lot of fun with it and only had to look up a few tips on some of the puzzle components at the end. The only real downside for me is that the story is pretty underdeveloped, which makes the ending pretty underwhelming. It feels like a proof of concept game in that way. It would have been nice to have the story fleshed out more and have an accompanying gradual increase in complexity for the time shifting mechanics. It was a good game for the price and I do recommend it, but it would've been nice to get a little more, even if that meant a price increase.
