Church Simulator

To be honest, I'm not a particularly religious person, but I find games of this kind very appealing. The basic idea behind this little game is simply wonderful: you play a priest who manages his church, is there for the parishioners and talks to them, hears confessions, performs baptisms, weddings and funerals, and much more. The entire game is presented in very simplified graphics, reminiscent of games from the early 2000s. That wouldn't be a problem for me in principle. Nevertheless, there are unfortunately a few minor graphical shortcomings here and there that I think are completely unnecessary. Just two examples: Almost every surface in the game has a reasonably appealing texture. Only the lawn, which takes up a large part of the playing area, is just boring green. Even the graves in the cemetery have grass, but all the other green areas around the church and other buildings don't have a nice texture. At some point in the game, you can buy a piano, but it cannot be placed freely and has a fixed position in the room. Unfortunately, a very thick window sill behind the piano runs right through the middle of the instrument's soundboard, which simply looks unattractive. This could h…

boring people ask the same 10 question and the answers are so bad ! graphics are bad and there are 5 different types of people so that breaks and realism and fun. also it is very limited and scripted and what you can say back and it is nothing like the pictures. fun for about 30 minutes than just regergitated content over and over each day... and the mothers carry their babies for baptisms like their a football. and you can sell items that are evil in the church store. IF YOU ARE A REAL CATHOLIC = STAY AWAY !!!

Fun and entertaining for the price. I hope they will come back to this game and finish what they started. It has potential to be even better.

Recommending this one with caveats. It was cheap but I’m not sure I would’ve paid more than about a fiver for an abandoned game. It’s definitely not a Rockstar title but it’s vaguely amusing. There are little touches missing. I’d like to be able to play as a Westboro Baptist Church and run around waving placards at people/picketing funerals etc. Also, the ability to sacrifice individuals would be fun. There’s a lot of missed potential here that perhaps Pope Simulator will use, should it ever escape from Development Hell (no pun intended.) Overall, a fun but limited little term which will get boring quickly!

I enjoy this game as it's been a fun mix of clergy duties and fun. The controls do take some getting used to, but overall I like the game and it's theme/story.
