About Citystate

Notes from the developer:

- This is not a puzzle game, in Citystate there is no right combination to build a successful Nation. This is a sandbox, old school style in which most building tools are unlocked at the start. There are no mandatory guided steps, aside from a brief independent tutorial.
- Micro-management is minimal in Citystate; you won't need to build public facilities or set up bus lines. Instead, the game focuses on macro-management and economics, encouraging you to explore the big picture and experiment with political ideologies.
- The game mechanics are based on today’s global economy. The effect of policies aim to mirror real-world nations and their inherent differences. Citystate is often politically incorrect and possibly biased.
- The game is specifically designed for mature audiences.

✦ AI summary

Players appreciate this city-building game's core fun factor and find it engaging despite its simplicity, though opinions vary on difficulty. The main criticisms center on its high price for limited content, overly basic mechanics, restricted building options (particularly the limited transit system), and dated graphics that some find jarring. A few players suggest the game might be worth playing at a lower price point or waiting for an improved sequel.

Pricey, unhandy, very simplistic, and you can only build monorail which also isn't any good... if it'd cost around 5 bucks, perhaps it'd be worth it.

This game is more fun then I expected! Considering the age of the game I found the graphics a little jarring but honestly its more then good enough, would be nice if they added a few things like different types of transit and a few other minor tweaks. 7/10
