About Clarity of The Soul

Clarity of the soul is a psychological horror from the first person, where attention is paid to the study of objects and the challenge of fear in the player.
This is a story about the main character who was on the side of justice and bravery, which inadvertently led to a sentence of 12 years in prison. At the end of the term, the hero returned home, but there was no one to wait for him and he will have to partially return to his former life. At night, the hero is overtaken by nightmares that remind him of what happened earlier, so the task remains - to end the past, cope with stress and move on.
The main part of the player will have to explore the old house in which the hero previously lived, but everything in the house is not as calm and rosy as before, and at night the player is haunted by nightmares of the past, from which the player needs to get out so as not to stay in it forever.
The player's task in the game is to fulfill daily household obligations around the house, and at night - not to come face to face with their worst nightmares.

A very short about 20 minute horror game with very predictable jump scares. For some people this might be good fun and some might get scared but for an old horror fan whos seen everything it's a bit boring. I can get behind the fact that I could show this to my little brother and laugh his reactions to the jumpscares but if the game is only that, there is really no reason to play. The game menus are very lacking and very buggy. I think 10 minute of my playtime revolved only around the fact that I can get the game to work. When you do finally get to play, it's short and the bugs are everywhere and it's very janky. I wanted to like this, but it needs a lot more smoother gameplay.

"Clarity of The Soul" is a fairly basic Unity asset flipped first person haunted house horror adventure, one of many hundreds, if not thousands of these glutting Steam. The Russian "developer" paid for/pirated a few Unity asset store packs, arranged them haphazardly in a first person adventure game template, and submitted it to Valve as if they're real game developers. Two notable criteria for what makes an asset flip instead of legitimate use of stock assets are whether those assets comprise the majority of the game, and whether the "developer" properly credited the people who created most of the assets in the game. This game fails both of those tests. The "developers" here didn't credit any of the artists and real, actual game developers who created the assets here, so this is plagiarism, as well as cash grab shovelware. Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will lo…

Honestly, for $1, this game made me scream more times than the neighbors could stand. Police were called.

Not scary and I can get out the map very easily

Story sounds interesting, but cannot interact with anything except front door and kitchen items. No progress 10 minutes in. That's a nope.

I was entertained for like, 40 minutes, but I wouldn't pay more than $1 until the bugs are worked out. I love indies, and there's a lot of potential here. Good jump scares. I wanted to know what the story was, but it's just too buggy / not updated enough to be seriously playable right now. The biggest thing is that there's no "save" ability, so when the game crashes (which it does, alot) you have to restart from the beginning, and there's a lot of forced waiting. Controls are a big clunky and I had to mess around to figure out the hit box to trigger the next scene / door to open.
